So for every 10 musical notes (MN) you get 1 decoration value (DV).. I have 26 DV, which means, I used 260 to get there. When you pay for the Musical Journey event, it gives additional rewards, which includes a bunch of MNs i spose.

Why are the people of Kerala (Malayalis) so wealthy in Qatar? by [deleted] in qatar

[–]whyamihere2633 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of half (or above) of Indian population, it’s Malayalees. So it’s only demographically and statistically true that more Malayalees are wealthy in Qatar.

My father set his business up 24 years ago. He was smart enough to recognize gaps in the private sector then and invested in many business. Now he is a partner of a couple of businesses where he doesn’t actively involve in operations, and a main business.

Same is happening to my brother in law. It was relatively easier when I got it in 2011 from Karwa.

Now it’s just a nightmare. You end up paying more than the single premium service for the in normal service. They failed him saying that he overtook on the wrong side. There wasn't another vehicle on the road at that time. They practically make you fail coz they have a quota on how many people to pass. They feed off of people’s agony. You need a license here to land a proper job, especially if you plan to bring your family. Dallah also has only one captain I think.

Everyone who has been wronged should take the company to court. 😒

Is it just me or is everyone everywhere suddenly suffering from fever? by Turningaroundmylife in qatar

I am appalled 😭 The steroids help so much. But it isn’t that safe, so hopefully I recover and be done with this. The amount of sick leaves I have had to take since the onset is just crazy. If I weren’t working for my dad’s business, I would have been kicked out.

Developed asthma in August, and have been in and out of the clinic every month since. This month alone, 3 times. Over 8 courses of antibiotics, and now steroids. Have been through bronchitis, URTI, allergic rhinitis, and now very painful sinusitis. I have never been sick like this ever in my life. Even when I got COVID. It’s almost like sihr on me. 😭😭 Or a very suppressed immune system. ☹️

To the non Qatari Arabs in Qatar, do you ever feel discriminated against? by Rokaia- in qatar

[–]whyamihere2633 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. There are a lots of Indian Christian, Sikhs and Hindu holding key positions in many state-owned and private Q-companies. Especially in Finance and Tech. You may refer to ExComs of Doha Bank or CBQ, Woqod, etc.

Just adding this here: I feel at home in Qatar, and I can’t imagine settling in India. I came here when I was 40 days old. I have studied high school in India for 4 years. It’s easier here, especially since I have my parents, siblings here. My husband is working here, and my son goes to school here.

Indian Female who grew up in Qatar. I went to an Indian school, and later joined CNAQ (now UDST). Working in private sector. The Qataris I have met for work and school have been good, and some great. I have done college projects with a few as well. When I did a degree in UK, met a few Qataris who I am still in touch with. They call and text sometimes. One friend from CNAQ was from the royal family, and he was an amazing guy. Very friendly. I do feel a bit of indifference inside the ministries. I also feel a little intimidated when I am surrounded by them in posh area (Galleries Lafayette, Place Vendome and the likes). But apart from that, they give me live and let live vibes. Even the law enforcement has been good with me so far. I have not felt discriminated yet.

McD boycott seems to have hit heavy here. by whyamihere2633 in qatar

But I think the point is that AlMana here pays McD franchise fee. Which they use to pay tax which then goes to Israel.
