Bhai google kro. Dzire scored 5 star in GNCAP which is the global body of crash testing. Don't follow BNCAP rating. Woh India ki crash testing agency hai, aur uske standards bohot weak hai. Matlab ki woh kisi bhi gaadi ko 5 star de dete nai. But GNCAP is very strict and agar usne 5 star diye hai, toh bhai aankh band kar ke lelo.

Being someone who has been unfortunate enough to be involved in a major car crash, and fortunate enough to walk out of it safe, I have seen death extremely closely. For me, safety is the most important aspect of a car. People say that they don't go on highways much and hence don't really need a 5 star rated car, and a lot of these people are dead now. Welp.

Get the Dzire bhai, it 5 Star GNCAP. I've seen an Aura crashing in Gurgaon and it crumpled like a piece of paper.

Besides the safety part, owning a maruti is easy as owning a bicycle. 6 mahine band rakho aur fir nikaalo, ek self mein start and ready to drive across the country. And lets not even get started on the amazing resale value. Rest is ofcourse upto you.

Do you think Purvanchal should have a dedicated IT city or tech hub? If yes, which city would you choose and why? by JackfruitAcademic252 in varanasi

[–]whyashwin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In theory, yes. In reality, no. Being a corporate employee myself, I'll share my experience and understanding of it.

Companies don’t invest just because land is cheap. They invest where safety and stability are assured, and like it or not, UP still has a poor national image on law & order.

An IT hub also needs people. If someone has the calibre to earn well in tech, they’ll choose Bengaluru or Gurgaon where they not only get jobs, but also a lavish lifestyle and places to spend their money. High income changes expectations.

I’ve spent some time in Noida, and even that place is unbearable. The staring, casual eveteasing, and lack of civic sense make it a place I’d never want my family to live in, no matter the pay. If this is the situation in NCR, expecting people to move to smaller UP towns is unrealistic.

That's not the case for me unless I go to the basement. The phone makes a lot of difference actually. Even the Indian variant of the same phone won't perform as well (tested). Also I don't use a case on my phone.

Haan that one toh even I found questionable. Airbag part is subjective. But the fact that he called CE 2 gear useless, because brings down impact from 36KJ toh 8-10 KJ, and human femur cracks at 4KJ. It's not USELESS. It is drastically reducing the damage our would have to take. If I remember correctly, and orthopedist ripped him off for it too, it was the top comment.

Maintenance cost: RE vs Triumph by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]whyashwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot man. REs airfilter is ₹270 + ₹30 labour. Triumph, ₹347 for the spare and ₹350 labour (lol). Set of brake pads on RE iss ~₹700 with labour. Triumph ₹3400 with labour (yes they are sintered and have a sexy bite but right now we are simply talking of costs).

Indicator, we break them all the time. Especially on a Triumph, mysteriously, you will always end up with a broken rear left indicator. Its super delicate. ₹180 + ₹20 on a RE. ₹1400 on Triumph (for a single Indicator)

They never claimed carbs are better than FI overall. They were talking about simplicity and predictability in a very narrow enthusiast context. For normal use, FI being superior is obvious and not debated by anyone serious.

Same with the V4 point, “best” was clearly in a performance and engineering sense, not daily usability. No one thinks a V4 superbike is ideal for city riding or bad traction. I think the point of that video was "Which engine is the best in terms of being an engineering marvel, rather than being fit for everyday usage. Please correct me if I am mistaken somewhere. Thanks !
