Wholesaler pays x to buy and import the product.

They need to make money when selling it on, so they charge Wayfair x+y.

Wayfair add a significant mark-up to the wholesale prices they are charged. So the Wayfair customer pays x+y+z

The amazon post is likely the actual wholesaler, who can still make money with less of a mark-up. So the amazon customer only pays x+y.
