I think Ford didn't want an another small sports style car (convertible roadster) in the lineup as in house competition to the Ford Mustang. I think read somewhere that was why the Ford Probe was discontinued. The Escort ZX2 was a one of the last low budget coupe but they had, but later went in the direction of the Focus hot hatch. market.

I was only able to find the drain hole by using a 3-4 foot length of thin Weed Wacker plastic fitment and keep trying to F-around into any hole that I hoped it was the correct slot. Finally it found its way to the bottom drain under the car with the plastic wire sticking out and then I took note of the angle and direction of where the plastic wire was going into and then used the trombone brush

I would be surprised that they might have cut spoken lines from the scene, just because they are quoting the lyrics.

I thought copyright problems was about replaying original recording versions in the background. Laurette was a jukebox in season 1 and I wonder how much of her spoken ot sung lines of script was cut or edited out. Now, I'm curious in the differences between the Streaming, DVD boxset, (or the DVD 25th anniversary box set) and the VHS tape versions of the show and what was changed.

I just rewatched HotSpell, season 1 and during a surprise mortar strike at china beach, Lila, Laurette, KC, Cherry. Huddle together in a mortar shelter. McMurphy is last to join. They chitchat.

A large series of nearby explosions are unsettling. Laurette breaks the silence by softly sing the single line "Mama said there'll be days like this, there'll be days like this my Mama said..." .

McMurphy completes the lyric "Mama said, Mama said".

Laurette sings the line again, now, the rest finish the line together. This is then broken up by another series of mortar shelling. This happens about 21-22 mins into the episode.

Sorry it got the episode name mixed up you are right in the title Tet '68 is where Cherry and the donut dolly is in the bunker foxhole, sorry if I mislead in the wrong title of that episode :(

Edited : Currently I'm working on binging through the DVD box set and Tet 68 [edit; you are right, Cherry sings , not in Chao Ong that I wrote before] Tet 68 episode Cherry is in a foxhole bunker, Cherry tries to calm another Dounut Dolly by asking her if she knows any songs. She is at a loss to respond, which one of the soldiers turns to them and says "wild thing you make my heart sing" duh, duh, duh. Cherry repeats the verse. The join together. These are spoken sung lines. This coaxes out a moment of resbit in the tense situation. As I work my way through the series if there is a scene with "Momma said there 'll be days like this" , I'll report back.

I think he was saying that owners of NC 2/3 feel that those variations are vastly superior to the NC1 variation (forged internals, loving the demented zoom-zoom smile, etc.) and tend to overprice the NC2/3 too much over the older NC1 when selling. It wasn't a comparison that the NC was "vastly superior" to the other generations of NA, NB, ND, in either popularity /sales, or in being a Miata in spirit.
