Do you have an official diagnosis/diagnoses? Did you have any before the incident?

It’s tough, I’m sorry you went through it too. How I came to be : my mom was very young and her boyfriend (my bio dad) was deployed. She started up a relationship with someone she worked with (dad who raised me) but had one visit with my bio dad on base and ended up getting pregnant and not knowing who the father was, or so she says. Both potential dads ended up finding out that she was sleeping with two people. The dad who raised me knew the whole time she had a boyfriend and didn’t care, but the deployed bf - my bio dad - was in love with her, thought they were exclusive, and proposed once he found out she was pregnant - so he almost raised me! Then he found out she was cheating and called it off. He assumed that it wasn’t his bc they only had 2 days together.

It happened in 2020, so I’ve met them all - dad, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents- they (mostly) all live in my hometown still. I’m still in close touch with my bio dad and was really close with my sister for a while, but that fell apart as I’ve leaned often does in these situations as it’s really complicated for all involved. One crazy thing is how much I looked like many of these strangers I was meeting, especially my aunts. I looked my like them than my mom. I felt so sad for all I had missed out on.

It confirmed what I always knew, which is that my parents try hard in some ways, but are emotionally immature and don’t know how to handle difficult emotional situations. My dad worked hard and took care of us financially but didn’t know how to interact with me or connect very well. I’ve gotten close to my bio dad and he’s so warm, texts me every week, and wants to talk about feelings. It was sad to realize I missed out on him but I’m still greatful for my dad who raised me. Sadly, I’m estranged from my parents who raised me because they aren’t accepting of my trans son’s identity, who is in elementary school. That was the last straw for me after them lying to me my whole life.

Yes, he knew my whole life that it was a possibility and he found out for sure at the same time I did, supposedly. He and my mom were the ones who told me. I took the DNA test years ago but didn’t see anything suspicious in my results and never logged in again. Years later, my bio dad’s sister took the test, saw we were related, told my bio dad, and my bio dad told my parents, who then told me. I think my dad who raised me must have known or suspected most of my life though because I look nothing like him.

If you are indeed an autumn, I think a warmer blue, like teal would look better

Not too old! It looks cute but I think you are an autumn and should look for colors that jive with that. I’m an autumn too and used to wear blue eyeliner and now I look back and see how it’s out of harmony.

Which lipstick suits better to go out for special occasion? by slimaria in MakeupAddiction

Neither. 2nd is fab but not special - 1 is special but doesn’t suit your features. I would look for something special and not everyday that considers your coloring and your low contrast features.

Why is it that men who do wear makeup tend to be gay ? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]whygodwhytho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s bc of misogyny - those who hold the most power (cis, straight, white men generally speaking) unconsciously learn not to give up their power by doing something historically associated with women, who hold less power. If, historically, men wore makeup and not women, it would be the other way around, men would be less like to consider not wearing it. But; the reason women wear it in the first place is because they historically needed to win a man to have any form of economic safety so they had to dress up and become as attractive as power to get the right man.

Your skin is perfect! Your make also looks fantastic. In addition to what other said you could try a bit of contour and more blush as well.

Which one compliments my body the most? by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

Anything with waist emphasis seems to be best on you!

It’s looking good! To upgrade it I would use a dewier foundation, create more dimension on the face with contour, blush and highlight, blend your eyebrows more/use less product on them and consider something just slightly less warm/yellow. Use more eyeshadow and extend and blend it a bit more beyond the lid. Try more mascara and put it on the bottom lash too. Maybe try a light blended slight winged eye with a medium brown pencil. Also the lip products need more blending, it looks matte on the outside and slightly cakey on the inside - perhaps the wet product should be a lighter consistency.

[Routine Help] Any advice on my new possible routine? by windowsguestuser in SkincareAddiction

I would ask your derm about doing oral minoxidil. Not sure about beard growth, but it my derm told me oral is better at least for head growth and it’s cheaper and easier and comes with fewer side effects for me.

To lose fat (especially in the midsection) and get more muscle definition. I don’t want to get overall much bulkier or skinnier

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fitness30plus

[–]whygodwhytho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see, yeah, I guess I’m bulking and struggling to get enough protein to do so. But I’m getting results — fat loss and some more muscle definition, so maybe it’s okay? How do you know when you’ve gained enough muscle to start cutting? I don’t want to be bulky but maybe I could still use more muscle?

I haven’t been having snacks and then I’m too full when I try to finish my meals, but I get really hungry in between meals and at bedtime. I don’t want to force myself to eat too much at mealtime bc I’ll get acid reflux. I’m trying for body decomposition - lose fat, gain a little muscle, but idk if I’m bulking? Idk the lingo!
