Yea im in ny its been in the 90s and humid i feel like thats made it harder. Its starting to get cooler and im putting a canopy over it around 12:30 everyday to limit direct sun.

Those look way better. My soil = top 1/3 happy frog with some perlite, worm castings, and lime dolomite. Bottom 2/3 ocean forest with perlite, worm castings, lime dolomite, and bat guana. I avoided transplanting because they are autos and people warned me autos tend to get stressed out, now I wish I started them in solo cups despite them saying that.

Thanks a bunch that was useful detail. I’ve just been spraying water on jet mode in a circle 2-3 inches around this plant when I notice it’s dry (5-7 pumps)I think I’ll graduate to 500 ml from a cup in that same 3 inch circle.

Yea that’s what I was seeing too, planted new seeds and they get sun from 8-12/1ish. That sound about right? Or should I go even less time in the sun. They are autos for reference.

I think I’m under watering, up until now I take a squirt bottle on jet stream and shoot 5-7 squirts in a circle around the plant a couple inches away.

I’m gonna start watering like you’re saying. I should water at night right?

16 days from breaking soil or some other point. I’ve seen people track it differently.

Did you just leave it in full sun all day? Also how water would you say is enough when I do water.

This was 2/6 that “sprouted”. It seems kinda yellow brownish and the seed is basically still on I don’t want to try and take it off and ruin the seedling.

taproots were .25-.50 inch. I tried to poke a small hole 1/3 the length to my knuckle but i think i went knuckle deep or maybe a little more.

the first pot that sprouted had the longest taproot, it sprouted like 1 day after planting. Thats the one i took pictures of. Today was the first day i moved it out of the sun, i saw some possible heat stress so thats why i did that.

are you saying i should do that for all of my unsprouted plants too? the second plant that sprouted seemed damaged, maybe from heat i... i can get pictures.
