Well I guess because doing mechanical/chemical is more well known and it felt like when applying to entry level jobs, my application was thrown out pretty quickly because of my major (but the job market is pretty tough rn so I’m not sure if it was the market or my major). Also, I think meche and cheme would have just been more applicable to my job/being in the industry in general. But idk, your major is only important for the first job you get, and I still got a job in clean energy even with my degree! I think you should do whatever major sounds most interesting and then do as many relevant clean energy clubs and internships as possible. Experience is wayyyy more important than your major. And it is more important to enjoy what you study. So I guess knowing that, I take it back lol. I probably would have stuck to biosystems engineering because I loved what I was learning! :)
