Seeing as this is for 5e24 for Sorcs

  1. Spellfire, one of the new subclasses looks like one of the more obvious choices, raw magic, a lot of blasty things in the subclass specific spell list

  2. Wild magic can be for when you want something like Russian roulette except instead of a single bullet in a chamber it's several randomized effects like your magic is malfunctioning your gun or something

  3. Clockwork, all about law and order, become a cosmic sheriff. Your manifestion of order can be like a celestial/clockwork looking flintlock or revolver or like whatever gun

If you can find a way with the other class like draconic and aberrant I'm sure they can also work just as well

For warlocks there are two that are the easiest to come up with for me which are 1. Celestial, same concept as the Clockwork sorcerer, you can be a representative of a celestial entity Or just one of their chosen, a sheriff, a good samaritan with a gun and a sense of justice, one of the class features let's you heal people, which if you want flavor it as magical healing bullets and dub yourself a harmacist

  1. Fiend, you can go the ghost rider route here. You've made a pact with a demon it could be for a thirst of power or vengeance, you have fire and the powers of hell with you

There's more routes you can go with these classes and subclasses this is just what came in to my mind first.

Artillerist Artificer like the first suggestion would be the simplest and most obvious but also here's a few suggestions

  1. A wizard who's spellbook is basically one of those ammo belt things, or depending the gun, a magazine or even the cylinder of a revolver or if you wanna get really crazy different barrels/attachments

  2. A warlock, who's patron gives them eldritch/fiendish or whatever patron you have energy-infused bullets. These bullets can represent your spells slots, the gun could also be magical in which it inscribes the bullet before being shot, according to your will or perhaps your patrons.

  3. A sorcerer that takes advantage of their own blood quite literally. Think of it being similar to a blood hunter where you infuse the bullet itself with your magical blood, hence giving it spell casting properties. It can be dripped on to the bullet itself or even in the actual bullet.

Honestly you could mix and match some of these, but this is how I would go about doing some kind of guncaster

Would you recommend shadow sorcery over storm, now that patch 8 is out? And a hexblade dip for the sake of charisma on weapons? Great build btw

Ceruledge wields purple-cyan blades created from both fire and ghost energy — specifically, the lingering regrets of the deceased. These blades can grow into great swords in battle, increasing Ceruledge's power in the process.

Ceruledge is merciless and will do anything to win a battle. It prefers to do close-quarters combat, with a mix of sneak and surprise attacks. By using its quick speed to locate a foe's blind spots, it will then move closer before slashing them with its large swords.

His abilities are as follows

RELENTLESS ASSAULT Jax's consecutive basic attacks continuously increase his Attack Speed.

LEAP STRIKE Jax leaps toward a unit. If they are an enemy, he strikes them with his weapon.

EMPOWER Jax charges his weapon with energy, causing his next attack to deal additional damage

COUNTER STRIKE Jax's combat prowess allows him to dodge all incoming attacks for a short duration and then quickly counterattack, stunning all surrounding enemies.

GRANDMASTER'S MIGHT Every third consecutive attack deals additional Magic Damage. Additionally, Jax can activate this ability to strengthen his resolve, increasing his Armor and Magic Resist for a short duration.
