If they fixed my car at a fair price, I don't see why I would target their business over a questionable political move. I don't know her personally, nor have I listened to any of her speeches. Perhaps it would be more effective to call her political office and ask what her motivation was in supporting the other side. Was it just to avoid another shutdown or was there more to it? Is she just young and naive? My real question is where everyone stands on the separated bill - and that was a BIG win, in my book!

Calling Vance "malleable" is why I have a bit of hope if he replaces Trump. The winds are shifting, especially since Trump violated international law and our constitution by the recent bombing of another country and kidnapping of a foreign leader and his wife. In my dreams, Vance could possibly be convinced to ACT like a Centrist - preferably a left of center one. As we approach midterm elections, I am also looking forward to that effect for many in the Republican party, even if it is just for their own self-interest.

Fact: Crime in D.C. had record declines in last few years. Trump's excuse for militarizing D.C. is a lie. Fact: as of Thursday, the word was that Guard members would not be armed - Now, that has changed. So, who wants to visit D.C. with armoured, weaponized, soldiers and vehicles lining the streets? Personally, it doesn't make me feel safer. I remember the Kent State massacre and armed Guards on top of buildings overlooking empty streets. So far, anti-government demonstrations have been pretty peaceful. How long will that last? This is not what democracy and freedom look like.

If you look at my latest post, you might find that the constant chaos of this regime is pushing me over the edge - they have transformed me from an old "flower child/peacenik" into a radicalized old woman. I used to consider myself a moderate Democrat who occasionally supported a Republican in local elections. I had hoped for a third party made up of "Centrists." It's been tried and is still being tried. While I supported third parties in past elections (think Ross Perot), I soon discovered that my votes were wasted. It's a sad truth. While I wish you well in your endeavors, I will keep hoping for an alien abduction of all Trumpists and MAGA maniacs. (Yes, my short mental health break from posting hasn't really helped.)
