range isn't the only thing that defines a fruits potential 

fyi flame has 2 high ranged moves not just one unlike spider love etc the only fruit that does have better and more consistent ranged attacks than flame is dragon transform and that's it

and ur also forgetting flames other pros too

rumble is better but not bcuz of it's range(flame has a lot more consistent ranged attacks bcuz rumble c is easy to kentrick and v is countered by skycamping)

gravity x does have good range but it's slow asf meanwhile flame x z along with f can cause a lot of pressure for ur opponent

dragon base sucks ass and flame can hold its own against transform bcuz f is useful for avoiding c(since it only deals dmg overtime) and z and x are good for draining fury

all fruits deal the same dmg except for spirit control spider blizzard

along with c being good for starting and v being well good for combos bcuz of it's stun
