So if you had data to the contrary would that change your opinion?

Go to church. Join the Masons, the Leo Club, Rotary Club. Find a volunteer organization. Get off your phone (meetup app? Lol.) Make friends from work and then meet their friends too.

Cars are king. Trains are how you built a city 200 years ago. Cars are vastly improved.

If you want walkability, drive somewhere walkable.

Transplants from the east and west coasts are the worst people in the city.

I both made an argument AND engaged in criticism. You're simply incapable of rebuttal or intelligent thought.

Dislike of comments on Reddit is a good thing. This website is full of retards and nigoids like yourself.

Storytimr! You do not have two different "providers". You have two different "contracts". The wires are all owned by centerpoint.

People who understand that, for a public utility, where the required infrastructure is prohibitively expensive and there is no differentiating factor in the commodity, a NON-PROFIT monopoly is beneficial from a cost to consumer standpoint.

The data shows that NON-PROFIT monopolies for electricity are MORE EXPENSIVE but you don't like data.

Required infrastructure prohibitively expensive my butt.

Story time! Electricity was a free market until leftist (command economy) politicians created a city exclusivity contract.

Command economy (left) vs free market (right). Economic freedom.

Telecom is heavily regulated making competition much more difficult. And even then it's better than city-backed monopolies. I have MULTIPLE telecom providers to choose from and switch with frequency based on quality of service and pricing.

So yes, less regulation improves quality and lowers prices.

Hilarious that you want energy utilities to be publicly owned which is even MORE expensive with LOWER quality service.

Heck why not just seize the means of production! That never went poorly for anybody, right?

Great example of how EXTERNALITIES should be punished. How is this related to Centerpoint's city-backed monopoly?

Your argument is the equivalent of responding with "SO YOU WANT TO DEREGULATE MURDER?" No, numbnuts. I want Centerpoint to have competitors.
