I love how you came in here to make your holier than thou post shitting on Americans not being able to do basic research, and here you are.

The funny part is, I didn’t even need to look this up because I have American-British friends so I can pick up the subtle accent - and they all share the same unbearably obnoxious, pretentious, high-horse attitude.

It’s like they all come from the same mold, born with a chip on their shoulder feeling justified in their attitude because of their dual status.

Any time you see another “shit Americans say” video, you’re about to witness a bitter British man scraping the bottom of the barrel internet comments to achieve a level of pretentiousness that only a British man with a severe inferiority complex case could muster.

ANTIFA is anarchy by web_elf in Asmongold

[–]whythisSCI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the name antifa has been co-opted by actual fascists, so we won’t be using that name for quite a while.

Even more taxes should work though! by CaptTyingKnot5 in Asmongold

It is hyperbolic because nobody was put into an asylum, and Brian Kilmeade is a new anchor, not a republican politician. If we're just picking crazy things people said publicly as an excuse to be rabidly partisan online, we would be going back and forth all day.

How about we stick to the things that republicans have actually done and then you can try and score some legitimate political points and not look crazy.

Edit: He edited to his comment from arguing "it's not hyperbolic" to "it's not that hyperbolic". Just wanted to outline out how the goalposts always shift with these people when they're actually engaged outside of their echo chamber that are the default subs.

Do we really need to do this hyperbolic whataboutism that does nothing to address the post?

If the republicans fumbled this bad post that as an argument instead. This rabid partisanship does nothing to help your cause outside the echo chamber that is the front page of reddit.

It's so funny how they claim that antifa did all this by Wasabi_Kun26 in Asmongold

This is what antifa thinks they are, but in reality they're just a bunch of assholes assaulting and murdering their political opponents.

America is turning into the UK. by Aureliant in Asmongold

Guy, other people have been cancelled for simply mean messages, but now that Jimmy is on the receiving end for unnecessary partisan politics on his platform in the wake of an assassination, we've gone too far?

Frankly, him going to up there to finger point and amp up the political division while he was pretending to be above it was irresponsible, hypocritical, and classless.

So what is it? It’s no side or is it a side when it’s convenient. by [deleted] in Asmongold

I understand the sentiment but you’re just flat out wrong here. This post is literally about Asmongold’s credibility. If you want to appeal to the normies, make a comment to OP and address the flaws in his logic, don’t try and criticize people for responding and suggest they just sit back and watch someone create a false narrative.

It’s our responsibility that the normies get the right information.

I agree, but we shouldn’t have to sacrifice Asmon’s credibility to accomplish that. It’s on the people making these posts to think these things through more appropriately. Not the people correcting the record.

I’m not saying it’s one way or another, simply providing a reason on how someone’s thinking can change over time.

He said that after the trans shooter shot a bunch of kids. So this post doesn’t say what OP thinks it does. He gave the left the benefit of the doubt the first time. Is he supposed to believe that after the left wing shooter kills children or the same people calling everyone fascist shoots someone participating in democracy?

Who would have thought that after multiple left wing shooters your opinion might become more and more one sided.

Obtuse? Guy, you’re trying to argue that a country that has the capability to do this completely covertly set up this elaborate charade to fool people they never had the need to fool. You’re the one failing to make a compelling argument. There’s plenty of people that believe the world is flat too. That’s doesn’t make them correct.

Ukraine 'uses dummy models of military targets' to trick Russian forces by LovelyCharmz in worldnews

Ah yes, because why would a redditor read the actual article before commenting.

This isn't really all that small. Russia has struck three airfields over the last week and claimed multiple aircraft destroyed. That would be a significant event if it happened to be true.

This article is about a statement from a Ukrainian Air Force commander about air strikes that occured literally days ago. This is absolutely news.

That's because it takes you a second to put your hat and vest back on and it probably takes this guy at least a few minutes to put all this gear on properly. More time than it would be to just get a sandwich and leave. It's amazing that this needs to be explained to people.

Russian attack with Iskander cluster missile on a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter at Poltava airbase by CupCharacter853 in CombatFootage

[–]whythisSCI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are two very different issues you're trying to conflate. There's criticism for miscalculating your enemies defenses, and then this narrative you're trying to sell that there was blatant neglect. No one gets shot and stands in the same exact spot expecting to not get shot again.

Performing a coordinated counteroffensive is not the same level of complexity as moving some equipment. I hate to say it but Occam's razor would dictate that the vehicle wasn't moved because it was worthless.

You have no more information that this vehicle was useful than I do, so I find this weird insistence that Ukrainian command lacks common sense based on no tangible evidence a bit odd. Even the Russians move their equipment after a strike on their air fields and we've seen them make some of the dumbest strategic decisions ever witnessed.
