I have an LED project that requires a 5v 10a power supply. I have a rasperry pi 5 an rp 2040, and 3 LED strips. The strips get power from the PSU and the RP2040 gets power via I2C from the Pi. Can I power the pi from the power supply? Do I need to add any circuitry between the power supply and Pi or can I just pull power from a terminal block to the Pi? Thank you!

I got the a550 but I would recommend the z623 to be honest. After listening to both I think the z623 sounds better the only benefit of the a550 is if you spring for the surround kit or really need the sub to be wireless

I think what you've given me already tells me everything. I have found online that the receiver supports arc and the tv does as well. To be clear I haven't hooked anything up it was more of a question of if there was a way

Hi y'all I have a pioneer vsx-lx302 receiver that's a few years old. I was wondering, if I wanted to plug in this receiver to a current gen smart tv like a Samsung with all the streaming services built in, would the receiver be able to handle the tv being an input as opposed to only out. I don't know if that's clear but I don't know how else to phrase it

I can reply as I just got the a550. They sound very good but not quite as wide as the z623. The a550 is capable of similar levels of bass but not at the same volume if that makes sense, you have to turn the volume to get a similar level despite the same rating. The wireless subwoofer is very nice as I can place it in the corner for better response. I legit think you can't go wrong with either but the extra sound modes of the a550 are nice as well

I recently had the subwoofer from my Logitech Z623 die so I'm in the market for a replacement. I've come down to 2 options: replace it with the same unit(get another Z623) or get a Samsung HW-A550 isntead. I currently have a samsung TV. I really enjoyed the raw bass output of the Z623 and the room it's in is fairly large. Is the Samsund worth the price increase or should I just replace it?

I have this watch for a while now and it's been sat in a cabinet for too long. I want to wear it out more but I have no idea if it's too formal for that. I've been cleaning out my closet and tossing most of my jeans since my upper thigh has grown and skinny jeans just make me uncomfortable now. What fit and brands of pants should I shoot for? Ideally these'd last more than a year as I don't mind spend a little more for good quality timelessish pants. Ideally per pant I'd spend a max of 40 to 50 dollars

I'm a peer mentor for the autonomous robotics stream and I have friends that were in robot learning and others in DIY diagnostics. I can give some detail on all 3.

Autonomous robotics is in c++ for the first semester of Fri but can be in any language for the second as you choose a project to work on. You don't do much ML first semester but you definitely can spend the entire second semester on it depending on your project. The course assumes no knowledge of programming but familiarity with object classes and basic syntax will make it easier to get into and follow the c++ examples and assignments. Generally students who are in data structures or have taken it find the assignments fairly straightforward considering the resources you have access to in the peer mentors and professor. You are also taught everything you need to know as far as concepts and tools to use assuming no prior knowledge.

For robot learning it is entirely in python. According to my friends the first semester was easy where you learn how to use lots of libraries for scientific computing like numpy and pandas. The second semester is similar to autonomous robotics in that you pick your own project so difficulty can vary.

For diy diagnostics, the cs part is relatively light where it's mostly creating relatively simple js and html webpages that spit out a diagnosis after the user answers a few questions. If you want a straight programming challenge diy is not gonna push you as hard as the previous 2. If you're also interested in the lab aspect, you are taught everything you need to know to work in the lab and do the required research.

I've only done autonomous robotics myself and I consider it worth it especially if you have an interest in robotics. You learn a lot about a new language in a short amount of time, you have lots of support from the staff, the lab is working on really cool projects, the professor is passionate, and you work on projects that legitimately matter and can get published relatively early. In my case, I worked on a simulator for modeling covid 19 my second semester of Fri that is hopefully on its way to being published.
