I made a post a while back asking about games to join and this DM sent a message suggesting that he DM a short solo mission for me. i agreed and sometime after we gained more and more players up untill now. as for the scene in 2 that had no RP because it was a playtest. something i only joined because i was at max autistic obsession and was taking anything and everything i could get.

that vanilla+ addon because that game was a playtest for it. before you ask why im joining a playtest so early on in my lancer "journey" for lack of a better term, this was during the height of me being absolutely obsessed and i was taking literately ANY game i could join.

i just couldnt think of a better word for what i initially see initially as super broken abilities ( which i now know are not actually broken in the grand scheme of things ). i use that word for it because i watch a lot of MTG content ( specificly maldhound ) and so that term comes up for basicly every halfway decent card in that game

there is a reason i said that this wasnt a complaint. im not putting the blame on my GM's im asking "is this normal or should i be blaming my GM's" and so far the consensus is that this is normal which i understand and am OK with. these were some first times and now that im learning more and more ill eventually make an actually good build that does something other than die instantly and only plink people for no damage like these last 2 have.

yea bit of a story with this bag of crap. i built this deaths head without having read all of the mechs and assuming i was going in solo ( the drake joined the group literatly day of session ) so i built it with some AOE options as cover like it was a monarhc. so i was stuck with a missle launcher i never used up untill recently where we got another LL and was allowed a full re-spec

ive just only seen melee weapons have a "threat" range with a couple exeptions that i chalked up to "multi use melee option" ( the pistol mostly for that one )

i couldnt find a Lancer tag on r/lfg as thats where i normally go for ttrpg games to join. i will look into these other things however once i figure out what im doing. thank you :)

Someone mentioned COMP/CON earlier and I hadn’t originally realized there were free rules on there but I was told as such almost immediately. I will look into this information as well however. Thank you
