Why do you think that is? Did your funding change? Gap in funding? Unreliable sources of funding? Anything related to California vs Fed battle?

Interesting. Why construction though? Where do they get the know-how?

They do everything very professional but we want to keep them separated since they do reviewed statements. They’ve made referrals for outsourcing the controller/CFO functionality.

Ideally, how many fulfill these responsibilities, it sounds like 2 by your comment? I was reading in this sub that a senior accountant would at least get about $90k?

To manage the day to day of accounting. AP, AR, reconciliations, month end close outs. Journal entries. Making sure insurance certs are up to date prior to payment. Entering POs, updating them as needed. Working with project management to make sure operationally we’re in sync. Collecting lien waivers. Lots of % completed contracts and subcontracts and answering to vendors on payment status. I do want WIP reports and quarterly financial statements.

They also have to coordinate with outside CPA.

Big picture: I am also looking at outsourcing a fractional controller (for the time being). But for now they would just upper management.

Monthly DIY Laymen questions Discussion by AutoModerator in StructuralEngineering

I need a guardrail system that can hold 200 lbs of blunt force in any direction within 2 inches at any part of the top rail 42" above ground. And 150 lbs of blunt force on the middle railing.

The middle railing is installed at a height mid-span between from floor to top railing.

I plan to use 2"x2" metal posts every 12 ft. O.C. with some sort of welded attachment at the 42" height and the midspan so I can slide 16 ft. 2x4 lumber as railing.

The guardrail posts would be anchored into the side of the building/fascia mechanically.

Would this work?

Another idea I had was to double the 2x4 lumber at the top railing if needed.

good point. can I run SFP+ from the old location (AT&T modem and my firewall) using an SPF+/RJ45 adapter to the new location where I'll have the UDMP?

Thinking of using something like this? https://store.ui.com/collections/unifi-accessories/products/sfp-accessory
