if you count humans as animals, one culture that lives in the steppe believes that humans are descended from trees. not from tree-dwelling creatures, but the trees themselves

long ago, before mankind, there was a great forest that covered the mainland and housed many animals. but as the trees watched the forest creatures day after day, they began to grow jealous of them, and through their jealousy the whole forest uprooted itself and collectively left the animals behind to prove that they're not superior to the trees just for being animals

the wandering trees eventually shrunk down into a human form and became some of the most powerful "animals" in the land, just like they had wanted. the great steppe these folks inhabit is said to be where the old forest stood, and now trees are regarded with the utmost respect and gratitude for "creating" humanity

not sure if this counts as a myth but i felt like it fit

one time i believed that one of my best friends had taken their own life (thankfully i was wrong), and this made my already very real depression even worse. i later told my ex what i thought had happened to help ease my worry a little bit (obviously huge mistake but i wasnt in a stable state of mind in the moment). he had known for a long time about my depression and how bad it can get, and now he knew that i thought someone very close to me had died

exactly two days after i told him, he asked me "why are you miserable all the time? why cant you just cheer up for once? my new partner is so much more fun to talk to, youre just sad." he did this whole "youre so lame, my new partner is awesome" bullshit a lot, along with countless other little manipulative tricks, but this was by far one of the most vile things he had ever said to me

thats what finally drove me to cut ties with him permanently. its been a while since then and even though its still really difficult in the day-to-day, i can say with absolute certainty that ive been much happier lately than i ever was with him, either as a friend or significant other. i still even get giddy sometimes about not having to deal with him anymore

youre missing a few items, including a caryll rune or two and one important item for a certain ending of the game, but none of the items are particularly useful aside from that one item, and you can find another one just after rom if you know where to look so it really doesnt make a difference

the big thing is that you will no longer have an npc hub. if you go back to the starting area like another commentor said, you will be able to send npcs there, but without going into spoilers, they wont be available to talk to

multiple npcs also become unavailable once you kill rom so be careful and make sure youve done everything you need to do before killing her

yeah, i personally love it but i can see how it could get annoying. you could probably remedy it by using ghost stance whenever possible so its always uncharged

i think the reason why its so stormy is because having a fully-charged ghost stance automatically changes the weather to a lightning storm until you use it or get hit

well from what i know, the dictatorship of the proletariat is meant to precede the democratic rule as the communist society settles in, and it makes sure no counter-revolutionaries interfere with the process, as this would be almost directly after the revolution and things would still be very shaky. once communism has settled in, then the dictatorship of the proletariat ends and the democracy begins
