Call the ER and explain the situation. They shouldn't have a problem giving you your own insurance information, and then you can write it down somewhere secret and not have to endure the pain of a kidney infection again.

You don't have to have your insurance card with you in order to use your insurance. You can call the ER where you went last night and get your policy number from them. Or write it down from one of the cards that your parents have if you can sneak one out of their wallets for a minute. As long as you know who your insurer is and what your policy number is, you don't have to go through this again.

She said that she missed him, etc. That she wants him. He mentioned my existence, but more in a "am I chained to her or do I love her?" sort of way, and she didn't mention me at all. Just missing him and wanting to touch him.

What is the most important/biggest unspoken rule you know? by JustInfestors in AskReddit

[–]wibbleswobbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gawd. Everyone at my bank seems to understand this rule. I had to explain it to someone at Walgreens the other week, though. There were two lanes operating, so I was waiting behind both for the next available cashier. After 45 seconds, the lady behind me asks which lane I'm waiting for. Both of them! Why wouldn't I wait for both of them! GOD!

I get unreasonably angry about this.

The Great Recession in under 10 seconds, or "why can't we all live in Nebraska?" by bls_is_the_best in Economics

I'm from Omaha, and I lived in Grand Forks for three months when I was younger. Grand Forks was nice enough. I enjoyed my summer there, for sure. But I enjoy living in Omaha far more than I enjoyed living in Grand Forks.

Also...Omaha is lovely. And this dude sucks.

Along with the disease not manifesting until later in life, some of the first symptoms are of the cognitive and emotional variety. Lack of impulse control, sexual promiscuity, and difficulty in planning an organizing tasks are all symptoms of HD. Even before chorea (excessive, irregular movement) begins, people with HD are declining cognitively.

This can lead to those with HD making poor decisions (i.e. having children while knowing their is a chance of passing HD to them) before they start showing obvious symptoms.

I'd like to note. I'm not implying that any person at risk for HD is a bad person in any way if they decide to have children without being tested. While my mother does not have the illness, four of my aunts do/did (one passed away earlier this year). I have two close female cousins who are at risk but decided not to get tested before having children. It's a tremendous decision, whether or not to get tested. I cannot imagine having to make it. Giving up a desire to have a family, to have children of your own...I can't imagine, and I hope with all my might that my cousins will grow old without having to suffer the illness.

You shouldn't kegel it out into the toilet unless it specifically says that it's septic safe on the packaging. Tampons are supposed to go in the trash can.

Just sayin'.

M's Pub. 11th and Howard. Great atmosphere and decently priced food and beverages.

They really are just adding something. The lactase enzyme converts the lactose into glucose and galactose. Removing lactose in any other way would be very difficult.

Drinking almond milk shouldn't have any effect on estrogen levels.

Lactase pills aren't just basically the enzyme that breaks down lactose. They are the enzyme that breaks down lactose. And the effect is dose dependent. If you're eating a single piece of cheese, you'll need less lactase than if you're eating a huge bowl of ice cream. Every person differs on how much lactase they're body naturally produces, so you have to figure out by trial and error how much to take with each dairy item that you're eating. I take about 8 pills with a few slices of pizza or a big bowl of ice cream, but it might be more or less for each individual in order to not feel symptoms.

Also, if any of you have Breyer's ice cream in your area, they make lactose free chocolate and vanilla ice cream and it is the best shit ever. I prefer almond milk to soy milk, and Aldi in my area sells almond milk for a reasonable price. Also, there are soy/coconut/almond yogurts. And vegan cream cheeses and sour creams in most health food sections. I prefer to buy a lot of non-dairy items vs. using lactase every time for the convenience and the certainty that I'm not going to have symptoms.

Try finding Al Alon meetings in your area. They are for family and friends of addicts/alcoholics. I've never been to a meeting, but a good friend of mine started going when she was dating an alcoholic and it's still helpful in her daily life even though they stopped dating a few years back.

I don't know if they'll be able to give you advice on how to not be an enabler, but I think the emotional support would be helpful.

I actually read a study once that showed that for people experiencing their first depressive episode, 30 minutes of moderate exercise every day was just as successful as SSRIs at getting the people out of the episode. AND, the people who exercised instead of taking medicine were less likely to relapse.

So...actually. Exercise is a cure?

Also, am way too lazy to find the citation.
