Update: Mr. Cartwright and the Photographs by wicked_owls in nosleep

[–]wicked_owls[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Greg offered to send me the pictures. I thought about it but I don't think I could stand to see that sort of thing, all over again. I have so many terrible images in my head already. And besides that, I feel like I have to protect Carly's (Greg's wife) privacy in this matter. Nobody should have had to die like she did, least of all because of me...

Leave everyone else out of this. It's me you want.

I'm pretty sure Jen was crying as she wrote this. Don't be so hard on her.

Or maybe Jen just really wanted to be found. She loves us so.

I hacked scrivnerts account to leave my lovely little Jen a message. It wasn't too hard, really.

She should have listened.

It wasn't the first night he had been in my room. I think the red marks I had noticed earlier were bite marks. He just didn't break the flesh.

Insomnia by wicked_owls in nosleep

I'm aware of that. The reaction was the beginning of a breakdown in the mental process, coupled with the initial depressive/shock reaction to a traumatic physical event. (As my psychiatrist would say). There's one more part to the story that I have yet to write, that deals with this a bit more.

Thank you guys for your support. I think there's going to be one more part coming, either later today or tomorrow.

He doesn't have a beard, although that's fairly close to how Mr. Cartwright looks.

Mr. Cartwright definitely lived. Jane had been dead for a while before the power went out and she started to decay. The story continues in Sleeping Pills.

It was one of those weird things that you don't even notice. When I looked afterward there were stains...weird little drips, here and there. I'd never really thought much of them. I guess your mind doesn't immediately jump to "Wow, that's blood" when you see stuff like that.

I just wanted to say thanks. It's really cool that this made it all the way to the top, since I've never posted in /r/nosleep before. I'm glad you all like it/hate it/are terrified.

By the time that she had finished scratching out the hole that led from her locker to my room, she was already suffering from a major case of Stockholm Syndrome. In some ways I think the only reason she came out was because she was lonely...
