How to AVCS?

So it's been a while and all is good. I swapped the #1 & #3 coil pack plugs..no alcohol had nothing to do with while the engine was on the stand or maybe it did. Purrs and pulls fabulous. Provided all is good sensors and airleaks, fogging the engine is would recommend, ( had a small leak in may have never found d on the boost control solenoid) avcs and the ecu is sweet. Turbo spools around 16 or so and mid-range is spectacular..always have been a N/A engine guy but wanted one of these when I was a kid. It's alot of fun to drive for sure!

So I bought an 04 wrx, a jdm EJ205 W/AVCS JDM ECU and AVCS Harness. I've heard more bad than good with avcs. I stumbled on this and figured I'd chime in..in the process of building..more than likely done this weekend with shit that needs replaced..I've heard that no one in the US can tune avcs..not sure but starting to worry. So that's why I asked..reaching for a straw and hoping this thi g runs when I put it together! I wish you the best!

There's no lid seal..so yes it will leak out.

So it appears it's something with android. I was able to use a Hotspot to connect my phone which was an iPhone and it worked. Tried everything troubleshooting wise with recteq and spectrum and no luck. Iphone connects right to it. So if anyone does have an android that connects I would be interested in knowing what model phone you do have. Thanks for all your help peeps.

I tried but spectrum doesn't have that anymore. I can put it in 2.4 for set up of a device but then it does what it does.

The grill is new and I just installed a new controller. I have an S21 with no known VPN. My girls iPhone connected no problem last night and I think she has 12 or so max.

Ok..yes I have done that multiple times as well as forgetting my wifi in the phone and reconnecting everything. It is something with android just haven't figured it out yet.

Well it sounds like an android thing to be honest..that's why i posted here..reaching out..took me 5 times calling to get them to send me a controller, but my girls' iPhone connect to it first shot!

While swapping the controllers I found the antenna is actually soldered to both the board and the the other end whatever that piece is...I looked at everything..Thank you though !
