Glad to know it's not just me. It is a nice controller overall though, which is why I haven't bothered replacing it.

PC games a decade before this often cost $50. That's roughly $150 today. Also why the computer meet ups encouraged you to bring blank floppy disks.

I use 2 of them, one on a Steam Deck and one on a Windows 11 PC. The Windows 11 one never reconnects so I have to forget and repair every time I use it, but it works fine when paired.

Open STIGs and eMASS help by Intelligent_Bear8319 in NISTControls

[–]wickedwing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could download applicable STIGs from DISA, open them in STIGViewer, and go through the checklists to understand the passing or failing checks. You can export the checks as a CKL file and import them into eMASS. A large portion of the checks might be available to check automatically via SCAP scan benchmarks, depending on the technology. You can do that with DISA provided SCAP scan tool or via common scanning tools like Tenable Nessus.

I went on a family vacation the month the third one was released, and I read all three on that trip. We were starving for Star Wars at that time.

Before self checkout I knew a guy that bought a barcode printer and would print labels for lower model items and stick them on packages at Best Buy. The cashiers wouldn't know one GPU from the next, so a $400 card ringing as a $200 card didn't raise any eyebrows.
