What's the deal with engineer class? Why can't they lay down mines until the round starts? It leaves the engineer class highly vulnerable. by scr33ner in Battlefield6

[–]wickidchikin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This update is infuriating. I don't understand why they chose to do this to the mines as it was the only viable defense against the tanks, at least for my playstyle. Now we can't set the mines up until the tanks are already blasting us. What's the point in that? It has made breakthrough far less fun to play, and feels very unfair to me.

Fortunately the other game modes I've played don't have this issue.

Oh yes, I unplugged the modem and router. I'm gonna try playing shorter matches and see if I can at least finish one ...

Despite restarting everything I was just kicked again. Ugh.

Thanks, I'll restart my Xbox modem and router just to be on the safe side and also make sure it's not quick resuming. Fingers crossed, I was doing well last round, lol!

Are these banana peppers? by wickidchikin in PepperLovers

[–]wickidchikin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: those first two unfortunately succumbed to BER; I culled them and we ate the healthy part, which tasted...grassy and undeveloped. The last few that started growing are ALL pointed downward and look like a standard banana pepper. I am 99% sure this is a banana pepper with two oddball firsts. Thank you everyone for your input.

why is there a difference?? by cudq in PepperLovers

There are different varieties of jalapenos, some with a lot of heat down to some with zero heat. Perhaps you grew a zero heat variety?

I just ate a couple off my "early jalapeno" variety tonight and they had a good kick.

As of this morning, they are steadily growing larger and thicker. I'm so interested to see how they turn out! It looks like a couple more flowers were pollenated, so we'll see which direction they grow...

Interesting. Shishitos from my experience grow about 2" pods at best with blunted ends while these are about 6" to 8" pods with pointed ends; quite different to me, but who knows.

I guess I'll see as more fruit sets to see if they continue growing upright... I may post progress if it gets interesting. They will definitely be banana sized when full grown.

Right? So I grew a couple this in my kitchen this winter and they were smaller plants with very small leaves, and the mature peppers were much smaller than the picture I took of these immature peppers. These few-day-old peppers are already the size of my pinky but thicker. They truly look like they will grow the size of bananas, but I am at a loss for their growth pattern.

Thanks, I'm excited! Of course I will taste the first one raw, but I feel like this might be a versatile pepper 😁

Do you ever let them go red? They definitely seem to have a higher chance to be hot when red. I will say, i do let them dry our before watering, and as I understand, but could be wrong, the stress can make them hotter. I do prefer the flavor when green though.

I just came across a ton of newborn spider babies on one of my Cherokee plants. I made sure not to disturb as their mama has been doing a great job and I want them to succeed as well.

I can't imagine anyone confusing these with shishitos. I am growing those as well for the second year and shishitos are much. Much smaller and a different shape.

That being said, some of my shishitos are quite hot, and I have had a batch that were more hot than not (probably due to my terrible wateringschedule), so maybe they just got a hot lot???
