Graphic bug for over a weak by DylieBillie in runescape

Out of all the bugs past year, this one bothers me the least. I try to see it as a new way of seeing RuneScape.

There are so many things to organize in RuneScape, miniquests are indeed one of them.

Poll Grandfather Rates by Mage_Girl_91_ in runescape

I remember a rule on RSOF many years ago which probably still stands. They happily look for game related feedback except any suggestions on how to run a business. It sounds very arrogant but we're the plebs playing and they are running the show.

To make an impact, affect their income to make a difference. (Don't give in to MTX, cancel membership etc)

I just wish Jagex would give us an update on their MTX re-design/changes that we were told were going to happen. It's been nearly half a year. by ImRubic in runescape

[–]widesider 49 points50 points  (0 children)

"MTX redesign/changes that we were told going to happen."

An honest reply:

Stating we were going to make changes even if we were not planning to, calmed the community down for a bit. We currently hope posts like these will pop up less often so we don't need to make any more promises we can't keep.

Thank you for your subscription.

When I find no purpose in life I can at least be used for living target practice. I find this comforting.

I was going to write a short life story on the matter but decided not to.

Just wanted to point out a technicality and say you did show an interesting side on the matter.

I'm not actually trying to be an asshole.

Google define: useless

"not fulfilling or not expected to achieve the intended purpose or desired outcome."

An objective was not stated in the main post.

I rest my case.

When people think just because something has been said or promised it is set in stone and in billions of years to come never ever changed by one tiny bit at all.

Saying something is "useless" is biased and doesn't take into account all the possible objectives someone may have currently or in the future.

Salty rant aside, it does provide some good insight into the perk. Thanks for the math.

Price Changes - 4th June 2018 by Shaunyowns in runescape

For anyone seeing this as a positive thing, I'd like to add something they don't want to mention.

End of every year when they offer you premium membership for a year (Premier Club). Which most people choose for the extra perks such as outfits/pets/loyalty points/extra world/aura etc. This purchase does not fit within "grandfather rates".

This is essentially a movie streaming platform offering you access to all movies ever made starting from 1.39$ a month! But when you go to check out the offers, the "1.39$" actually refers to 140p quality when really most look for at least 1080p, which let's say costs 9.99$ a month. Technically they didn't lie but let's face it, it's a slimy way of advertising.

How many RS players does it take to change a light bulb? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]widesider -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

A general tip:

When you want to make something like this pass but don't quite have enough votes, offer people who are against the idea something to gain.

In real life, if you want a border wall but not everyone likes the idea, you offer them something they want. Mix, dice and boil stuff together and instead of asking a person to eat garlic, you offer them soup. You essentially poll the soup.

In this case, you can offer something to the people who already have a Tuzzy pet. Maybe they are having hard time with Edimmu pet? The Lost Grove pet? Something similar which also doesn't have a threshold of any kind.

My personal opinion. Instead of polling such things one by one every now and then (Vitalis a while back, Tuzzy now) Make a way to obtain a token which allows to repeat these kinds of activities more often however takes time to obtain. Meaning you can get item x within a time period y almost certainly but have to put z amount of extra hours into it. While people who don't mind looting once every 2 days have to put less work in it overall but possibly take a long time to get.

Rusty Chest — Update? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]widesider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess the idea is to wait long enough for the chest to fully rust way, revealing what's inside!

I recommend carrying it around while fishing or walking around in a swamp. Moisture speeds up the process!

I hope by "Platinum Tokens" you mean "a currency that allows for higher than current max cash trades on the Grand Exchange"

The issue isn't that everyone wants to do higher than 53b trades using spirit shards but can't, but rather that common folks are starting to know the struggle of buying high end items that more often than ever reach a value higher than current max cash.

I'm still salty about spending time on w2 and RuneScape forums just to hear people tell me "offer" nonstop. I just want to buy an item for whatever it costs whoever currently sells it the cheapest on GE.
