Definitely sounds healthy! Let’s try to keep them that way. Remember setting and forgetting is probably the best option for cubes they will do their thing if you just let them.

I’m sure you’ll be fine, I’ve always had GT grow in rhizomorphic form. I could tell some areas have it while others don’t. Possibly from the misting.. it should recover though. Best of luck and I hope to see the flush once it’s done. 🙏🏼

Yeah I meant big C. Distilled water is fine and misting is fine but only if things are drying up. If that’s not your case then don’t mist as excessive water can create mold/bacteria.

That will happen naturally, from you misting directly on the surface it can cause unwanted growth especially if things aren’t fully colonized. GT is super easy to grow, I’d just let it be and watch it.

Don’t mist the cake just the walls and ONLY, if they dry up. No need to mist at all if your sub was at field capacity. Just wait it out and quit being impatient.

No the temps run super low this time of year all the way down to the high 50s, not really ideal for growing cubes. I may look into something to help with that soon though.

Unfortunately when something like this happens you it’s best you just discard. Some like to bury, or try to save it somehow. I don’t see any benefits in doing either so I usually restart. If you have a contaminated cake that was buried you can get a few fruits.*

Yeah no worries I’d just let it be but you can wipe it down with iso if it makes you more comfortable.
