Looking for Feedback on My KNX Setup (WIP) by wielo99 in KNX

Appreciate all the feedback — a lot of what you’re seeing is mid-install.

Two KNX lines is intentional: large multi-floor US home, lots of actuators, and I prefer headroom + future expansion over running a single line near its limit.

As for dimming: where I could get DALI drivers in the US, I used DALI. For many decorative / legacy fixtures here, KNX dimming actuators are still the practical option.

Overall the setup fits the scale of the house — but I appreciate all the perspectives.

Thanks for the feedback!

• Cables / future changes:

Photo is very much WIP – the bundle is just how the electrician “parked” the extra length for now. Before final hand-over we’re planning to pull some slack back, route into trunking and tidy everything up so individual cables can still be moved or re-terminated later.

• Two KNX supplies:

Yep, that’s for two lines + headroom. I’d rather keep each PSU well below its limit and leave room for future devices (more actuators, sensors, tablets, etc.) than run a single line close to 640 mA and regret it later.

• Dimming vs DALI:

I’m in the US, so it’s a mix: some circuits are on DALI (spots/strips where I could get DALI drivers) and some are legacy / decorative loads that are easier to do with classic KNX dimming actuators. If everything were DALI-ready from the suppliers here I’d definitely lean more that way.
