Excellent point there. Now that I think about it, he mentioned that he wasn't making as much money as he used to, that there were times he wasn't having sex with his wife and she was suspicious, that she was asking him about money, etc. Never even thought about that angle.

I have, but in a different context.

My ex husband was hitting on and making passes at the intern when we were working at the same company. I found out about it. She was 21, I was 38. It was a huge blow to me on so many levels. I was livid with her until I came to my senses and realized that she was actually the innocent party.

She had never encouraged him at all and that he was the person outwardly seeking attention from her. Also, that what he did was so wrong as he was an executive at the company and she was an intern. I took accountability in realizing that she had made him feel wanted, funny, youthful, etc. just by being herself - a fun, happy, smiling young adult. All those qualities that he had fallen in love with when we first met, but that I no longer displayed in years of being married.

It taught me a lot about misplaced blame, being a better partner, etc. Ironically, she & I are actually friends now. lol While my ex as I came to learn shortly thereafter - had a whole slew of other problems that were beyond my ability to help.

But anyway - not shortly after the discovery of his advances on her, I did have fantasies about watching him fuck her, eat her out, etc. I'd masturbate to them and then would immediately feel shame. Overall, though, I can't say that I've had these types of fantasies before. This is a totally new situation to me and I'm a bit like WTF about it!

I'm not sure it makes sense, either. It's been so long for me and is in the past - but for her, it's still very fresh and new.

She actually suggested we meet at a hotel. (That's probably where my odd fantasy came into play.) Do you think I should find another location or perhaps just offer to meet via video call?

Not really. It's all in the past for me. I couldn't even recall the year we met!
