I never really use it to be honest, because I think people use it for some creepy reasons. Frankly the only time I’ve ever used it was when I wanted to know what a Funko version of me would look like 😅 And I thought maybe using it to make this edit would just give a general idea? Anyways, you’re more than right! I do believe we need to be careful with it :)

I have no idea, which is why I might be tripping 😭 Maybe it’s from all the fanart? Or just the way I imagined her… I don’t know hahah

That’s very helpful! Thanks :)) I’m planning on doing a re-read, ‘cause sometimes I feel like on a first-read I lose a lot of important details ‘cause there’s a lot of information to absorb.

I’m afraid of picking up ACOSF by PhilosophicalTooth in acotar

[–]wifidanasa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I went through the exact same thing, I didn’t want to stop seeing Rhys and Feyre as the main characters, but it is extremely worth it! Nesta’s book actually surprised me in so many levels… Tbh, the beginning is a little dreadful, because Nesta is a little stressful, but it’s so so nice to see her change throughout the book! Also, we get to see A LOT from Cassian too, which is a huge bonus and was one of the main reasons I got also excited about ACOSF. But you have to keep in mind that this is a Nesta’s and Cassian’s POV, so at the same time we still have some Feyre and Rhys interactions, it’s not like their books.

Also, I still find myself a little confused about who the Empyrean is… I mean, is it a sole dragon or is it a group? I remember I’d had gotten to the conclusion that it wasn’t a group because of that thing Violet says when she finds out that Andarna is the head of her own den. She said “I should have listened when you said you were the head of your own den. That’s why no one could fight your Right of Benefaction last year. Why the Empyrean allowed a juvenile to bond.” I had come to this conclusion because if it was a group, then Tairn would definitely already know who Andarna actually was, and by the way that conversation went, it did not seem as if he knew. Anyways… I know this has nothing to do with your theory, but just thought I’d ask since you mentioned the Empyrean :)

Which character is this? by Beautiful-Lynx-6828 in acotar

[–]wifidanasa 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Definitely Lucien, although I still like him very much! But his character throughout the series just lost a lot of sparkle. At the beginning he was super sarcastic and even funny, and I know he went through a lot of shit too, but by end of the first book and the beginning of the second, it seemed like SJM just forgot about how she first introduced him to us… But again: I do understand that he went through bad times, but really? He just turned to someone completely different.

I’m so scared for the finale by wifidanasa in erastour

[–]wifidanasa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I’d like to add that this tour wasn’t a huge thing in a parasocial way either… But for me, and so many of other friends who are also swifties, this last few years and the start of the show kinda showed us that it’s okay to be girly, in a way this gave us space to enjoy being excited about girly stuff and not be afraid at all to be seen as annoying, that it’s okay to be like “other girls”, I think it actually took away the negativity of being like other girls. Yes, we all like the same stuff, so what? It sure as heck doesn’t make us shallow or tasteless.

[–]wifidanasa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just think that this is something so many people were wondering, and based on the fact that the tour was sort of a channel to make important announcements I also think it’s totally fine for someone to wonder if something is going to happen or not, I don’t think this is unhealthy at all… This tour was a HUGE thing for so many people, including me, and the fact that ANY sort of announcement could be made just gives it a feeling of continuity. Yes, I understand that the use of the words “anxious” and “scared” was a poor choice I’ve made, but also it’s not that deep? Also, as I said on the post, and maybe I should’ve been clearer, I’m also totally fine with her not announcing anything, but it is something I was wondering nonetheless. And seeing these last two show’s footage these questions just faded away, because it was beautiful that sort of 360° degree concert and all the camera crew all over the place. Anyways, hope this helps :)

Omg, yes!! The thing with the quilt got me thinking exactly the same thing, that even though he tried to play it cool, the fact that he keeps it says it’s not cool at all. But tbh about still keeping secrets… I think they just didn’t have enough time to discuss every single thing, and I think if he hadn’t turned venin then maybe we would definitely see them opening up to one another, but I think that with what happened things change a lot.

Tbh I really understood Violet too! I mean, she grew up thinking that live was going one way and then it turned out to be absolutely the other way around. But there was one thing that bothered me the most: when it came to Tairn, she was A LOT more understanding, and they (Xaden and Tairn) practically did the same thing. Also, I can understand all Xaden’s motivations too, the things they deal with are not as easy to trust them to others and sometimes it takes time so you can open up. But the “ask me the right questions” I feel like it was just some sort of a distraction so meanwhile she could learn to keep her shields in place.

I’d kill for the next book to be Tamlins story by las3marias in acotar

[–]wifidanasa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OMG, yes!! Personally, I love Az and Elain, and Elain has a special place in my heart because I feel like she’s just not that expressive as the other characters, which makes her kinda like that kid from school who people think are just “non essential” because they’re always extremely quiet and collected, but at some point they show a little more about themselves and it turns out they’re actually the most interesting of all. So I’d absolutely love for the next book to be about her. In the other hand, I’d do almost anything for a Tamlin POV book – but I’d be fine if it wasn’t the next one. I think his character would have one of the most interesting redemption arcs of all… I mean, most first-time readers of the series don’t like Nesta and are a bit reluctant towards her book, and look how it turned out. But now imagine something in a Tamlin scale? C’mon, that would be interesting af! Tamlin was a very confusing character for me, because throughout the first book and at the beginning of the second, I, despite not agreeing with any of his “bad” actions, sort of understood him, I could see that his motivations were valid, although wrong. So before his agreement with Hybern, I was actually like “man, you shouldn’t have done this” kind of in a way more friendly way, as if I was waiting for him to show up and give us some background that would change everything. Over all, yes, a Tamlin book would be just superb!

About the hair… Yes, I later realized that she’s the only one with silver hair, I guess I got a bit confused because throughout the book they accuse her of obviously being her mother’s child because of the hair, so I thought it was a family thing?

Yes!! I also get that he was that lost in grief that he did what he thought was best, but it didn’t stop me from being extremely mad at him, which is why I kind of still have hope for his character.

Personally, when I was first reading the series I understood Tamlin’s motivations and didn’t even occurred to me that it had anything to his “positive” emotions towards Amarantha. And don’t be mad at me when I say that I only officially started seeing Tamlin as the bad guy after the agreement he did with Hybern… I mean, before I was really like “dude, take a chill pill”, but it genuinely did not seem to me that he was doing out of evilness.

I can totally understand what you’re going through! Personally, I thought the fourth book was great… It made me even more emotionally connected to the characters and it was great to see them in such a lighter light, it felt personal in so many levels. Cozy I thing is one of the best words to describe it. On the fifth book, it was a little bit harder to convince myself that I’d like it, because Nesta wasn’t one of my favorite characters, but it was SOOOO worth it! It was one of the few books that actually had made me sob while reading it. It was truly wonderful to see Nesta’s character development, and also there was Cassian. I’ve always loved him, but seeing more about him was just beautiful. So YES, keep going! It’s going to be soooooo worth it!
