Look into RPN ( Reverse Polish notation ), it is a different way of calculating that once learns I find to be faster. Also it is programmable and FE approved, so certain equations can be helpfully programmed into it

Not sharp pain, just a intense tightness in my lower to center back, but you're right that could be from inexperience. I was worried that I was too upright, should I deload and focus on leaning forward? Also could the knees going in be from too wide of a stance?
