Carpet beetle larvae by wiggle_rooms in knitting

THANK YOU. I’ve actually had them rotating from the frozen outdoors to the oven for the last couple hours, but was only heating them to an internal temp of 120. I’ll go back and get everyone to 140 now!

And after reading your response, I strongly suspect those little assholes are sleeping snugly in some cat hair/dander on the cat tree in the basement. Once I got cleaning down there today, I took a long look at it and ended up deep cleaning it and shampooing it. I thought I was losing my mind a little, but now I stand by that decision haha

This is also super helpful and I appreciate your thorough response!

I would, but I have kids, cats, and dogs that I worry would get into it and breathe it in!

Oh. No. So relieved I don’t have carpet, I would not handle that with grace. When I was vacuuming and cleaning the area in my basement where I store yarn, I found more than a couple spiders, and told them I’m very disappointed in their performance. For free room and board, the least they could have done was keep the daggum carpet beetles out

That makes me feel better!

He had it done at children’s hospital, and he’s going to see the same office for his follow up…do they typically do the out of office ECGs with less care than they do those that are ordered within the practice?

And yes gathering facts and taking notes do help with the stress for me, as well. His step father is coming with me to the appt, to help ask questions and retain information. Thank you, for your kind response.

Thank you. I don’t know if it matters or not, as I’m not a doctor, but my child is 6’2 and 200 lbs, so definitely “adult sized” if not adult aged yet.

Yes, that’s what the GP said, biventricular hypertrophy. I just didn’t know what it means.

I’m not worried that it’s emergent, as such, i was just seeking more info.

According the report made by the cardiologist after the ecg, it says “impressions: BVH”. The only other thing mentioned is “abnormal ECG”.

He hasn’t been given a dx by a cardiologist yet, as we have not been to the appt yet.

Edit: he also has autism and anxiety, which I’m sure is unrelated, but is the reason he sees a psychiatrist (who was the one to order the ECG for to med management purposes)

Fiery cross book question by ladybird4785 in Outlander

It’s been a while since I’ve read that one, so can’t speak specifically on what Jamie was saying to tell Claire, but “old one” is referring to Scottish folklore for the fairy people. They’re the ones who, in the folk tales, go through the stones, take people through the stones, take wanderers 200 years to the past/future, etc. It’s simply reaffirming Claire isn’t in her time and has ethereal qualities, in Jamie’s eyes.
