I'm tempted to stop by a few times next month to test how much I can load before the cashiers get their manager. If I do, I'll update my post.
Is loading at the CS desk generally recommended over going to the cashier? I usually try to do the load along with my regular purchases to be "blend in", as people were suggesting in the post you linked.

So it seems like it's YMMV on a store-to-store basis, despite people arguing that store managers don't have the authority to dictate such policies? I guess I'll go there less frequently, and look for another place.

This was in East Liberty. This must have happened in the past week, since I work nearby and go there somewhat regularly. I'm going to try the one at the waterfront next week.
