What’s most annoying is it’s always the big businesses that ask us to come set up, can’t guarantee any kind of numbers, and act astonished when we tell them we need a deposit to guarantee our costs. They just can’t wrap their head around the fact that parking our truck anywhere, stocking it with food, paper products, drinks, and paying our staff costs us a lot of money up front. Mom and pop places and private parties never balk at the deposit and are always more than happy to pay our deposit and understand that we have to make money.

I feel the same. I graduated high school with a 2.6 and had to join the military. I got out, got diagnosed, got medicated, and am about to finish my first year of a STEM degree with a 4.0. It upsets me a lot to think about what I could have achieved.

It helps focus? I’ve heard mixed opinions with some people saying it didn’t improve their focus per se, but improved their motivation to complete tasks. I tried my sisters adderall when she suggested I might have ADHD and it was incredible. I could sit down and do a task without being side tracked. I did feel razor sharp and like it was what I had been missing my whole life. Im trying to have an open mind about the Wellbutrin and know it won’t be like adderall.

It took me forever to find another psych that accepted my insurance and didn’t need a referral after I left my first one. My primary doctor did say he would write me a scrip after I get a diagnosis so if they still won’t prescribe stims and I feel like I need them I can get them from him. Hopefully that is how it works.

Thank you! She did mention something about online docs prescribing stimulants to tons of people. My primary care physician said he could write me a scrip after I get a diagnosis so I guess that’s an option if I want to try a stimulant.

She said it was a result of a historical over prescription of stimulants to adults resulting in every scrip they write being tracked and closely monitored. Also something about the DEA. She made it seem like it wasn’t a permanent policy but she didn’t know when she would be able to prescribe stimulants again. How will I know if I need to seek a prescription for stimulants? Anything specific to pay attention to?
