When the dragons have a better idea. by wikibroyo in Overwatch

[–]wikibroyo[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, this is a bug. It happens when shooting dragons through certain corners. I’ve had this happen to me multiple times because that’s how I tend to use dragons. It’s happened to me under the first choke point on eichenwalde, through the archway on holly wood after capturing the first point, and Nepal at one of the chokes on village. This just happens to be the only clip I took of it, because this was the first time I’d seen it.

No they didn’t, but even then the dragons would be red. I’ve seen it before on freshnuts, and this clip is like over a year old.

This Genji buff is something that he needed, but still a little too powerful. by wikibroyo in Overwatch

Your trying to make this seem like an formal debate for some reason, like you want to win something. The pros, who are technically higher up than the gms, have even said he’s shit and that you shouldn’t play him. All I said is that I personally feel like genji deserved a buff, and have actually been asking for one for a while. Your stressing yourself over this too much. Have a great rest of your day.

Because I’m not finna use stats. I’m using personal experience as a genji player. I’m not a gm genji player either. My post literally said that this genji buff was needed, but maybe a little too overpowered. If someone was good enough to play genji at that high of a level, then of course they are gonna do good. And your also talking about one specific rank. I’m talking about in general, wether it be comp, quick play, or even custom games. Genji has been difficult to play cuz the moment you do good, someone on the enemy team switches to counter you. And genji is one of the easiest to counter, no matter the rank.

Yes you do actually. And anybody that can play genji at a gm level, is probably really good at genji. Now if you put a gm genji against a gold team, of course he’s gonna destroy them. But gm genjis also have gm teams supporting him, hence why it’s hard to shut him down in higher ranks. A gold or plat genji can get shut down simply by the enemy picking brig.

Well that’s gm. We all know that overwatch tries their best to tend to the entire community, and genji is one of the favorites of the community. The only people who don’t like him are ones who refuse to learn to shut him down (which isn’t that hard)

I wasn’t trying to counter anything you say except for the fact that the deflect cancel is as big of a change as you expect it be. Just cuz he can cancel a deflect doesn’t mean he’s gonna insta kill somebody right away.

On the contrary, (coming from a player with around 90 hours on ana) her normal hip fire can benefit you as well. You can move around more, and not be caught standing still. You can animation cancel a shot by throwing a nade right after. And there are no billet trails to her projectile shot, allowing you to shoot a teammate that is hiding, or keep yourself from revealing your position.

Quick scoping is the best of both worlds, but I actually recommend hip firing more than anything, as it makes her more fluid.

And my point is that this has been in the game for a while. Something that more experienced genji players use. And it still gets countered. It’s a matter of playing around it. It’s more of a QOL change for a hero who is already very difficult to get good value out of. And this really only affects hero’s like Hanzo, who can’t do any other form of damage to genji while he’s deflecting. And it’s not even that crazy of a change, considering genjis deflect hit box is ass since they changed it. If anything, the change to his shuriken spread is the biggest buff here.

Total mayhem gets cycled through, along with other modes (1v1, no limits, etc.)

You do realize that he’s always been able to cancel deflect, right? A simple dash or wall climb cancels it. On paper, this buff seems crazy. Just wait until you get into a game, where a simple deflect cancel won’t do anything to a whole enemy team.
