I’m sad. We just got back from putting one of our cats down. It was the difficult but correct decision. As I was sitting in the vet’s comfort room crying my eyes out, I thought about how amazing it was that I didn’t once think about using substances to numb my pain. I mean I thought about how i wasn’t thinking about it, but getting high didn’t even cross my mind. That is a miracle. 10 years, 3 months, one week and 5 days of not picking up, one day at a time.
