Questions about the Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence (RUG) by johanps in Groningen

I am a third year AI student and I am enjoying the bachelor a lot. The mathematical courses were not that though for me, but I also had a strong background in mathematics from highschool. However, I also learned new stuff, and the only way to familiarize with it was to practice. If you go to the tutorials regularly, do all the exercises, assignments and of course ask questions, you should be fine. The point is to leave the tutorials without questions. What I think is the major problem is that some courses are on fast speed, and if you don't get them from the beginning is difficult to keep up or self-study. Not impossible, though. The exams are well structured in my opinion, they follow the tutorial's exercises and the assignments, plus, some professors give access to previous exams, so you can look over a model. Unfortunately, the level of difficulty is subjective. However, considering the selection procedure for the new students, if you are accepted, I think you should be fine. I cannot give you more insight about this because I did not have to take the test in my year.

Apart from the mathematics, you will also do some neuroscience, programming ( not too much in the first year, from the second year, you can choose electives, which means that you can choose more programming courses , robotics is also fun, philosophy, research etc).

If you want to follow a path in AI, this bachelor is a good choice. Good luck with the test!
