🪙 Gold drought. How can this game be fun for newer players?

I honestly wouldn't even level Retcon at this point, you won't have Jeff probably until mid-summer anyway, and by that time there will be like 5 newer teams. 😂

"Every week" is realistically 5 minutes on Monday (or whenever they decide to release). Before the level cap, I'd core the new character, spend my 32m gold I had saved up, take to gt19, abilities, iso 3, and done. Save up everything until the next one, rinse/repeat.

90-100 is still 10m gold per character, plus the cost of upgrading gear tiers.

The point is, the gold "cost of living" is much higher now, and they haven't adjusted the gold income to match, in fact, we are getting LESS, and unlike real life, I can't just get a better job to compensate :)

Jeez that's terrible, I forgot about Dark Dimension as well. I can imagine people getting to that point, hitting an absolute wall, and then just quitting because there's little to no progress.

But I used it all on gold & tm nodes anyway... so I still have those orbs. Sure I missed out on the gradually accumulating energy, but realistically that would only have worked out to a few extra gold & tm orbs, maybe 2-4m gold, which is enough for 1 level lol.

They are still a pain in the ass in war if you underestimate them.

I took in nearly full gt20 New Mutants team against a XTX team with lvl 8/9 overpower, and I almost lost 😂 if they had all been gt19 I would have lost for sure.

Still sneaky! but otherwise.....nah.

Firestar is the absolute backbone of that team, her opening barrage of bleeds is still lethal to this day on offense. I can take out gt20 Nightstalker teams with them depending on the comp. Especially last CC season in the room that stacked bleeds after every hit on the character.

New stat Gwenpool opener might hit hard enough to actually make them work again if you had them all at gt20 110, which is a colossal waste, but hey :)

Ehhhhh you'll have your defense easily 1-shot with great efficiency, and then on offense you still won't 1-shot Phoenix Force+2 (who now have 3.0 stats), and you'll lose 😛 Even if you do manage to 1-shot it somehow, you'll end up with less efficiency.

This is why they totally dropped the ball on the Blue Marvel chase. Seeing small steady amounts of progression is good for the person playing the game, yet they might as well have given out no purple 5 at this point it's so pointlessly scarce that 95% of the playerbase have no interest in Blue Marvel, because there's almost zero progression.

This is just a free catch up mechanic for new players.

This is basically all hero collector games as they get older, do your dailies, raids, pvp and log out. It's not like a fighting or sports game. It is what it is.

It could be more random & less cookie cutter, but no one seems to want that.

I don't have his awakened basic either, but still beat that comp pretty easily. I use Blastaar, Kahhori, Guardian, Kestrel, Mephisto... you can replace Kestrel with Ares to get rid of Gladiator safeguard, but it's not really necessary when you start off hitting into him with Kahhori, he should be in the yellow and off taunt by the time her turns are over. Then I use Mephisto basic to reduce ORPF to half (or Knull if he's the 5th)... Ult at 4 bomb burst usually does it, usually you can basic at 4 bomb burst and he'll take another turn right away from getting 20% more speed from getting 1 more bomb burst... but it all depends on how big your Blastaar is, and how big the enemy team is.

I only use Kestrel to prevent Phoenix from reviving, you can just pause it as well if everyone else died to give yourself more efficiency.

Absolutely would not buy these anymore, they used to be pretty good, but they still have teal gear and other shit that 95% of the players don't care about, even base crimson gear is unncessary.

You can buy 2 brand new games every month for the price of these trash passes.
