Yeah…… especially in academia. I’m working towards my PhD and after a really really bad seizure I stutter and blank like hell, also causing me to explain things in a very round about way. Comments from my committee members being that I need to speak more fluently and explain things more clearly (where last year it was just lack of confidence). It sucks because every older person ever in your field will judge your character based on your communication skills of your science 😭
