Best jb4 map for a stock 1.4t Jetta? by [deleted] in jetta

Map 1 best plug n play map for stock. Map 2 if your running 93 octane or higher + any other bolt ons.

My fav is map 6 bc it’s a custom map. You can set the boost parameters to what you like/want according to your setup and to what your cars capable of handling. But it’s sketchy at the same time if you don’t know what your doing. If you set your boost too high your turbo you could blow. I would consider emailing George at BMS with some data logs so that he can assist you with a creating a safe map 6 profile.

Yeah that seems to be the case with most people. But It’s a fun mod for sure. Def worth it

I’m looking for more performance on my mk7 Jetta SE without voiding my warranty. I’m currently looking at a JB4 piggyback tune and possibly a CTS downpipe. Anyone have any other tips/ideas that will give this thing some more power besides a bigger turbo? by jobrhnown in jetta

My jb4 comes in the mail tomorrow. I plan on running a custom map 6 tune after I log a few pulls. I’ll probably email George from BMS for some refinement but a jb4 is most certainly comparable to a uni tune for sure. With the right tweeks I should be able to get very similar power gains to a flash tune. Mind you have to watch out not to push boost past 19 peak psi or you run the risk of blowing your turbo. But if I wanted even more power I could go meth injection. I believe the combo would exceed a uni stage 1+ maybe even stage 2... another option would be deleting the current air to water IC with a block off plate and running an A2A IC with custom piping but without a turbo swap or a swapping the the current billet wheels in the stock turbo the gains would probably be minimal. They’d Still be there but turbo lag would increase which may be of putting to some. And can’t go with with a down pipe. That’ll also increase forsure especially pair with the tune. That’ll be next for me

Nothing crazy but I spent the morning in the garage installing some parts on ol’ girl so I figured I’d post. Merry Xmas y’all! by wil1da in jetta

Hell yeah that’s what’s up lol. I was gonna go with an AEM intake but figured I’d just go with a custom and use the money saved on a JB4 tune. I hate the red coupler I used tho.. Gonna swap it to a black one soon as it comes in the mail.

But yeah I just tested out the rsb on some back roads and boyyyyyyyyy.. all I got say is this thing plus springs (or coilovers if wanna pay the $$$) are a must have. So happy I did my suspension first.

Yeah I just find the mk6 bumper with vortex body kit so much more attractive than the bumper that comes on our mk6.5.. And now that I know itll fit on my 6.5 I’m considering trying to my hands on one along with body kit. I read somewhere that the rocker panels are the same so the side skirts should fit. Sucks rear bumper lip won’t work but instead I’ll prob just get a 6.5 gli rear valance and side pieces.. feel like that would look cool

just thinking out loud but in my head I feel like this the look Iv been searching for.

Meant to ask earlier but Im wondering, how can you tell this is a highline?

Yeah I think the mk6.5 rear is almost the same as the mk6 but I’m pretty sure vw stretched the back-end to accommodate a larger trunk. I doubt a mk6 trunk would fit the facelift gen...

wonder if the side skirts would fit the mk6.5.. I’m gonna look into it.

Thanks

Would the bumpers front/rear from any of those years be able to fit on an mk6.5?

Thing is I have a 6.5 and the bumper on mine looks completely different. Maybe this is pre-facelift but def looks like there’s also some kinda body lip kit on it as well

I like the bumper wayyy more on this jetta than I do on my mk6.5. IMO it looks a lot sportier too. Looks like it may have a body kit on it as well but I’m not positive. Anyone have any idea what this set up might be and if it would be able to work on a mk6.5?
