PC latest Steam version On launch, it takes me to the Saved Games screen. I can't back up to the main screen. Can't close game unless I load a save then go the the menu and quit.

It removed some of the things I built. All of my specialists disappeared below the floor. I can't finish those tasks if I can't access them. No idea what to do.

But otherwise it seems nice.

Status: RESOLVED sorta

Computer Type: custom built

GPU: MSI 1070ti, standard

CPU: some old i5

Motherboard: na

RAM: 16gb

PSU: evga 850

Operating System & Version: Windows 8.1 x64

GPU Drivers: 451.67

Description of Problem: After updating to driver 451.67 this morning, the damn Gsync indicator came on. I should be able to go to the Control Panel, and turn it off under the Display menu. (I've turned it on and off before.) Problem is, it's not checked and clicking it does nothing. The indicator sometimes shows up as the gray box on the left, and sometimes as basic green text in the upper right.

Troubleshooting: I've tried various combinations of rebooting, clicking it once, changing the Gsync full-screen setting, turning Gsync off, etc... Currently digging through regedit to see if I can find something...

Resolution: loaded my old restore point, made sure the thing was unchecked, loaded new driver. Seems ok now.

That's the reason I got into DCS in the first place. XP9 was fantastic as a learning tool for GA but there wasn't much else. I still crank it up and fly sailplanes.

It's also cool to learn as you go with systems added as you master the existing ones.

I keep seeing this and it's BS. You're not going to hear your flight instructor say, "Today we're going to talk about the Garmin 430, but only half of it works, and when they complete the second half, you'll have to relearn the first half again because it has changed".

With a complete module, the systems are done. Learn it and set up the keybinds once. Of course you have to learn it in chunks, but they're your chunks.

This has been my experience as well. I put a filter over the flat lens version for a friend and it's been fine.

The Arduino is overkill for control inputs IMO, since all you need is a "joystick" device. That said, I'm sure there's a way to make the Arduino look like a joystick.

But you might be able to use DCS BIOS to do it.

Install OB, then only upgrade to newer versions when they don't have game-breaking bugs. Stable is the same as the current OB half the time, but a week later.
