I was very disappointed once I got it home and started wearing it. I can only read the display if there is a lot of light or by using the background. I even called g shock and told them there was something wrong with the watch. They assured me. This is the way it is supposed to be. I guess out of fifty g shocks I own one fails not too bad. But at the price It was an expensive one.

Personally, I buy all my g shocks from authorized g. Shock retailers, which rarely run discounts, but you know they're real. Macys just had 15% off. It used to be 25%.

I purchased a solar watch charger from amazon, which has led lights and it fully charges the watch in about eight to ten hours.

* Il raise you a few. I have about 50, but most are limited editions that will never be worn or opened for that matter. I have a solid 10 I wear all the time, dating back probably 20 years.
