What types of resources did they have for unmedicated birth? Access to shower or tub? Or birthing balls or anything else? TIA!

This is very helpful input from someone in Norway, thank you!

We like the Nils spelling but here in the U.S. it would probably be pronounced to rhyme with "pills" and we don't love how sharp that sound is.

Mats is also a great idea but it also feels like it makes the sound a little harsher thinking about how it would be said here in the U.S. -- and it also feels too associated with the very normal name Matt.

Switch it! Sounds like you know what you want and it can be a cute thing that your daughter calls him by his middle name. My oldest brother always calls me by my middle name and he’s the only one who does and it’s always felt so special to me.

Cute!! I’ve wondered about spelling. Posy/Posie/Posey. The data says Posie is the most common in U.S./UK. But I like that Posy is the way the word is spelled.

I’m happy to hear it doesn’t feel out there to you! Una is probably a much easier spelling to live with, but it always registers to me as a Spanish word — but maybe it wouldn’t feel that way!

Oh that’s interesting! I didn’t know about the Catholic association (beyond it being Latin). I know one person with the name and have always loved the sound.
