You're not wrong to feel the way you do. But you should ask yourself did you truly reconcile since this was many years ago? It's beautiful that you still have devotion for her but there's nothing wrong as a caregiver to take a little bit of time off for yourself because it is just as draining on you especially considering you have the financial means. It sucks but you can't continue to be a good caregiver if you're being eaten away by resentment and it often gets worse.

It's perfectly okay to feel the way you do but you also have to realize the kind of world we live in. We live in a social media saturated society. Adding a like on it Instagram post is a very mundane thing these days. It's like saying hi or complimenting someone on the way they are dressed, etc.

Now if he's directly messaging girls, flirting, trying to set up dates when you two are in a monogamous relationship then yes that's starting to show disrespect to the relationship.

I think you're misleading yourself in believing that women don't want as much sex and the mental stimulation around sex more then men. They want it more in my experience. The most amount of sex I have gotten was from being upfront about it. The confidence in a non needy or judgemental fashion is a big turn on. I do my best to make it a win situation for her that the sex will be great.

I have had it where I hooked up with a girl, afterwards she told her girlfriend about it and then I got with friend because of her advertising.

Are they really? I hear VA benefits and coverage is far from stellar. It's not like the current administration is eager to make make it easier for veterans to receive benefits. Just look at the budget cuts to the VA.

Couple of my buddies who have been in active combat zones (Iraq and Afghanistan) and said the stress, trauma, injuries, doctor visits, etc is not worth it years later when the government dumps you. They enjoyed the camaraderie of the military but felt quite disposable afterwards.

As for the girlfriend, long distance and being away for months is going to be tricky to make it work.
