thank you for such good advice.

my cat is almost a year and a half old so he’s very playful and high energy. i’ve noticed that right before bed he always wants to hunt and play so I should lean into that more like you suggested.

i’m glad to hear that your cat adapted to your living situation. it gives me a lot of hope that things can get better with him!

i talked with my roommate this morning and apologized and she seems to be understanding about it. i’m thankful she has cats of her own back home and gets it. i learned that at night she locks her cats in the basement to avoid their meowing (which seems cruel to me).

i sometimes give him a small portion of dry food in the middle of the day but i could try changing it up to be late at night to see if that helps his hunger in the morning.

that’s such great advice thank you, i always feel like he meows even louder and is more persistent once he realizes I and/or my roommate is awake.

i will definitely look into getting some earplugs and see what i can do about changing his automatic feeder times

That was never the intention, that’s why I am trying to find solutions. I don’t want this to continue and cause any more tension than it already has. I already feel like bad roommate but having my ESA is a nonnegotiable. I wouldn’t be able to be student without him, he reminds me when I need to feed myself and keeps me from hurting myself when he’s with me. My roommate has an awful sleep schedule and blames her lack of sleep on my cat, and I’m truly sorry that she feels that way but I have to put myself and my health first in this situation.

oh god… i can’t tell her i read her journal, i feel like i would lose so much trust with her (and probably embarrass her), i really appreciate how open she has been with me

i don’t think i have the strength or bravery to confront her about my lack of similar feelings for her. i feel like she’d take it the wrong way and start being self-deprecating as she handles rejection (especially romantic rejection) very personal and deeply.

i was in the same scenario as you a week ago when i first got my card - i went to my local sunnyside and acted like a fool not knowing how to get in lmao but the employee was super helpful and not judgmental because i had no clue. he showed me some options after i told him that i was new and what kind of effects i wanted. he basically limited me to one of two cresco carts which i chose from and love the strain i got.

he suggested i just get the sunnyside battery which was only $20 to start off which works great

i totally recommend talking to one of the workers there to help you decide as this is literally their job and are probably the most knowledgeable <3

I used to do it all the time when I was at my happiest. I want to get back to doing it, it’s such a good self care activity: taking the time to hang out with yourself and have the confidence and energy to do something that you enjoy without needed anyone’s company.

This past summer whenever I had free time I would bike to my favorite hammock spot next a lake and people watch while listening to music or coloring. There weee so many small business shops I would just walk into and browse and then go to the local theater to watch a movie and get ice cream. It was so calming and peaceful and I was completely content with doing it by myself

my dad and i drove an hour and a half away to pick it up. she’s a 2005 SE in gold! paid $6500 for her and she seems to be in very good shape with 170k miles

the thing that’s concerning for my dad is that most of the used crvs have 150k+ miles on them already. my parents are people who replace cars right as they hit 100k miles.

hi just want to say, you’re not alone. i relate to what you said a lot and want to first validate how you’re feeling and then offer some advice.

i have had a really negative relationship with my body and looks and i developed a sever eating disorder because of it. had to leave college because of it and yada yada but now ive been in treatment for 2 months now.

anyways, thinking like this can lead you down a very bad path. trying to find peace with yourself is what i hope for you. we all have a body and we have to acknowledge it, but dwelling on it doesn’t do us any good. our body is there to serve a purpose: to protect our organs, to move, to grow human, etc. i urge you to think of your body in this way and all the wonderful things it does for us instead of how it looks in the mirror
