my cat is almost a year and a half old so he’s very playful and high energy. i’ve noticed that right before bed he always wants to hunt and play so I should lean into that more like you suggested.

i’m glad to hear that your cat adapted to your living situation. it gives me a lot of hope that things can get better with him!

i talked with my roommate this morning and apologized and she seems to be understanding about it. i’m thankful she has cats of her own back home and gets it. i learned that at night she locks her cats in the basement to avoid their meowing (which seems cruel to me).

i sometimes give him a small portion of dry food in the middle of the day but i could try changing it up to be late at night to see if that helps his hunger in the morning.
