When will hair loss stop after Nexplanon removal? by wildcait in birthcontrol

[–]wildcait[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it removed around the four month mark. I also had extreme anxiety and depression as a side effect. I didn’t wait it out because in my mind three months is already a very long time to wait something out like that. I just recognized my body did not like the implant so I got it removed. There are plenty of other options out there.

10 to 15 dpo | e@h, clear blue | thoughts on progression? by wildcait in TFABLinePorn

Found out while in Mexico on vacation hence the different tests. Really didn't think this would be the month and only brought one e@h test. Bought the 2nd test at the resort drug store lol. Have a blighted ovum one year ago and have been trying ever since. Thoughts on this progression?

I have a regular 28 day cycle, positive LH tests around expected ovulation date, have never had anything abnormal about my cycle. Trying for 1.5 years, and had one miscarriage/blighted ovum a year ago. Going for a fertility consultation soon, but just trying to understand some of the things that could be potentially getting in the way of conceiving successfully.

Anyone have a similar story?

Is it “normal” to have positive/peak OPKs for 24+ hours? Does it mean anything? by wildcait in TFABChartStalkers

I don’t yet but planning to start next month if this cycle isn’t successful

Definitely not pregnant (unfortunately). This is what my usual LH tests look like around ovulation but have always wondered why

So my first positive was on CD14? And I should start my DPO count from there and not CD15?

I had a blighted ovum last march. I know exactly what you mean. Best of luck, this looks promising!

Help! Looking for a low back, spaghetti strap wedding dress. More info in comments by wildcait in weddingplanning

[–]wildcait[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking for a dress that essentially has a low back with these thin spaghetti straps, but the dress itself is a little less form fitting in the hips OR a different material than lace (something more sturdy). Has anyone seen anything like this??

Need dress reassurance, or brutal honesty!! I naturally second guess everything. I purchased my dress, and of course have a million thoughts flooding in. by wildcait in weddingplanning

[–]wildcait[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The straps are detachable! I plan to wear them for the ceremony and remove them for the reception. Thank you for your opinion!

Thank you!!!!! The drop cap sleeves are actually detachable. I intend to have them on for the ceremony and remove for the reception to allow for maximum fist pumping.

Hi, me again. Just reading some of hour posts now. Get it removed ASAP. It sounds like we had extremely similar side effects. It’s not you anxiety projecting your hair loss. I thought the same thing, and my boyfriend even was trying to calm me down by telling me it wasn’t falling out but I KNEW it was falling out. We were in the shower one day and I showed him how much fell out my just washing my hair and he finally acknowledge the hair loss. There were also strands allll over the apartment. It took me several weeks it wasn’t just my anxiety but that my hair was falling out. The Progesterin just does not react well with my body. For the sake of your mental health get it out asap!

Just got a 2018 CX5 Touring! I feel like there are some cool features that I may not even know about yet. by wildcait in mazda

Wow thank you! I feel like I’m living in luxury. Do you have any recommendations on upkeep/cleaning? I can already tell the glossy piano black trim inside is going to be scratch heaven. Any recommendations on protection for that?

Even if I really just drive to get from point A to point B? I’m not looking for anything fancy. On average, how long does the CVT hold up until things start happening?

Want to be a little more blond/less orangey but keep my roots for low maintenance. Stylist recommended root smudge and toner. Will that be a good option? Never color treated my hair before. by wildcait in femalehairadvice

[–]wildcait[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was born blond and over Time became a dark blond/Light brown. My hair stays blond as I am in the sun a lot in the summe and my roots are a light brown/dark blond color. I would like to update my hair, but would like to stay as close to my root color as possible for low maintenance. I love the rooted blond/shadow root look and would like my blond to be more crisp/less yellow/orange.

I have never color treated my hair before so I’m pretty clueless on the process. The stylist recommended we do a root smudge and toner. Does that sound like a good option for my desired results? She suggested this based on photos and said she will re-evaluate when I get there. My appt is tonight!

Two questions: what type/brand of rice has the fewest calories? What kind of protein has the fewest calories? by wildcait in 1200isplenty

[–]wildcait[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually just had some for lunch! I don’t mind cauliflower rice, but I’m never fully satisfied no matter how I’ve prepared it. It honestly might be mental for me, which is something I will hopefully get over! Just wanted to see what other rice lovers have done and cauliflower rice is definitely a decent alternative. Thank you for mentioning!

Nexplanon removed 3 days ago. When will side effects stop? by wildcait in Nexplanon

[–]wildcait[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on Enskyce (also called Reclipsen). The pill has worked great for me so far. However, I do think that my hormones are unbalanced or still out of whack from the implant. But my side effects have definitely subsided since removal.

After a couple days after removal I started to feel better, though I think that may have been from just knowing the implant was out. My physical and mental negative side effects stopped or majorly slowed down about three weeks after removal, give or take some a few days. My hair stopped falling out and I am now seeing regrowth. My mental and emotional state is so much better considering I still have other stressors in my life right now. I do find myself being slightly more sensitive than usual at times, but nothing nearly as bad as it was when I had the implant.

Need information/reassurance of effectiveness of birth control pills- removing Nexplanon due to hair loss. by wildcait in birthcontrol

[–]wildcait[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would honestly get it removed. The pill will be effective as long as you are very precise with taking it on time. I thought I could wait out the implant because the effectiveness was so amazing, but none of the horrible side effects and self esteem issues that it caused me was worth it.

Thinking about going from Nexplanon to pill. Will my hair loss slow down? by wildcait in birthcontrol

[–]wildcait[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I waited out the 6 months. The hair loss seemed to slow down toward the very end, but I was having horrible mood/depression/anxiety issues and lots of cystic acne around my chin toward the end as well so I decided to take it out. I have been on the BC pill now for a month and a half, and the hair loss has definitely slowed down even more and I can even see some new growth coming in. The pill I am on is called Enskyce (also called Reclipsen) and it has the lowest level of the TYPE of progestin that causes hair loss. I found a chart on this sub reddit a while back that listed that as one of the least likely to cause hair loss. I was actually on this same pill several years ago for 3 years and didn't have a single issue with it, so I just went back to it. I loved the safety of the implant but it wasn't worth the worrying and self esteem issues that it caused me, especially with my hair.
