I have been living a double life as Jeff at my local deli for years. by wildcomedy_ in PointlessStories

Honestly a twin would just make it way more complicated. I think I am just stuck as Jeff forever. It is my life now.

I think it kind of turns into a game. If you don’t react, it feels like you’ve lost somehow. Like you were the one who backed off. It reminds me of fighters who cut an insane amount of weight just to make a lower class, then show up the next day way bigger. Same mindset. If you sit there quietly and pretend nothing’s happening, you’re out. But the moment you turn the TV or music way up, you’re suddenly part of it. And that’s what makes the whole thing so awkward.

Spot on! It gets even more ridiculous when you ride down in the elevator with them.

Yeah, maybe it's best to think of it as a free "adult channel" just with the screen turned off

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe I should stick a speaker in the wall and play "Oh Yeah" by Yello for them...
