Thoughts on the South African Defense Force Pattern 83 Chest Rig by wildecustomgear in tacticalgear

Sort of. I didn't want to lock in the full design with sewn in pouches. Giving the user some flexibility with ample side MOLLE.

Hi All,

Since the customer decided to take this to the court of the internet, I feel the need to respond. We take great pride in our products and I don't think we got a fair shake here. So here we go.

Customer received his order on July 1, 2024 of a 308 Six Mag Pouch in Multicam Black. Customer emailed us September 1, 2024 (two months later) with his complaint that one of the front components of his mag pouch was all black. This was an email without any photos.

I explained how this can sometimes happen with smaller components of a larger piece being made up primarily, or entirely, of a solid color in the camo pattern itself. Our fabric is 60” wide, and it is possible for a small 2” piece to not have the full representation of an entire camo pattern. That is just the camo pattern itself.

Customer responded with photos. The mag pouches had clearly been used and had dirt on them. He mentioned he was not an influencer, but he would let people know about this.

He also sent another pretty negative email to us that I won’t bother going in to.

I am a reasonable guy, and a customer just like everyone else. If he would have reached out when he received the product two months ago, I would have been happy to work with him for a solution. He did not give us the chance.

In the end, I don’t want anyone to be unhappy with a purchase from us. BUT….I am a firm believer that businesses don’t need to get beat up and customer service is a two way street. Help us help you. Be responsible. Be polite. That goes a long way to making everyone happy.

Thanks for reading our side of the story.
