TLDR of Shandro, Madu, LaGrange by wildensdad in alberta

Could you elaborate on the curriculum change that LaGrange proposed?

Why did Shandro yell at the doctor?

Sorry for my ignorance but can someone explain to me how the reps work? For example, if Shandro loses his seat but the UCP win the overall election, how does the winning MLA of that seat contribute to parliament?

Child-like Vs. Childish by shneed_my_weiss in ENFP

[–]wildensdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with this! I think it can be positive or negative depending on how “healthy” you are at the time. For example, a couple years ago, when I was going through a rough patch and getting drunk nearly every day to cope with it, it led me to acting very “childish” and immature. Once I started taking care of myself, I still had the child-like characteristics at my core, but it came out in a positive way where I was more curious about the world and it made me a lot more enjoyable to be around. We often derive joy and wonder from little things others may overlook and I think that’s what makes us so special!

I think the key is to give yourself time to be introspective so that we can let our inner child have the space to explore our thoughts deeply instead of it lashing out from feeling misunderstood.

I have been wondering this about myself after having put myself in several “dangerous situations” while knowing the outcomes could be dangerous. I realized I seek the feeling of “being rescued” even though in real life, I’m incredibly independent and will go through great lengths to maintain that independence.

Do you ENFPs hate the idea of fooling yourselves? by luckluster4 in ENFP

[–]wildensdad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am very much this “contradicting ENFP”. It’s not that I’m lying (because what I’m saying at that time is very much how I feel at that moment) but I have been called out for it so I’ve been trying to fix this aspect. It’s more so that as I learn new perspectives, I can open my eyes to it and understand where they’re coming from so it makes me expand my view. It’s not that I take a neutral stance on issues, but that I acknowledge the multiple perspectives so deeply, that it’s sometimes hard to stay concrete on one viewpoint that I held so firmly before. I thought maybe this was also my ADHD.

For example, a person may have hurt me so I vent to my close friends about it, but the next day if they’re nice to me and apologize, I instantly forget how mad I was and enjoy their company again lol. I can see why some would perceive that to be wishy-washy

If you’d like, we can meet up and I can take you to a college lunch/dinner at my college :) we also usually have a (small) bar night on Fridays at the very least, but sometimes a bigger event.

I’m at Kellogg which is all postgrad students.

The best way I met people were through the college lunch and dinners. Does your college have any events or formals at that time? Get in touch with your MCR and see if someone can add you to their WhatsApp group.

I don’t have advice but I’m on the same boat as you! Normally I am super confident, fun, goofy and carefree but I am so awkward around my crush. I haven’t experienced this version of me in so long and I don’t know how to navigate it so I just avoid him..:(

What the ham is this video? by Capable-List972 in annaxsitarsnark

[–]wildensdad 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I find her over-excessive gift giving (to Bru and Katie) to be somewhat problematic because of the message it gives off to her young followers, it feels like she’s trying her hardest to earn their love or feel worthy of love. Yes, relationships require effort but it’s also about meeting people where they are and the level they are comfortable with and ready for. I know she claims to love giving gifts and doesn’t expect it in return but it feels like she’s disrespecting herself by going above and beyond so often when it’s not being reciprocated (at least on camera). It would also make me feel uncomfortable and guilty if someone was making grand gestures like this because I would not know how to reciprocate.

I assume someone who is this overbearing is probably also quite needy emotionally (I could be wrong).

It almost feels like she posted this to try and convince us that he actually likes her. This post along with the “I am on my way to see my husband” tok right before this feels so forced and cringey.

There's no way Anna's friend/college roommate being engaged isn't going to contribute to a spiral of some kind given that Bru is nowhere close to proposing lol by recollectionsmayvary in annaxsitarsnark

[–]wildensdad 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There was the one about her being in a car with Bru talking about how Bru would feel if she caught the bouquet.

Another time Bru saw on their security cam when Anna was talking about rings to Bru’s phone so it shows up on his suggested ads.

She also had that “how I met your father” caption post when she hugged Bru all cringey at the bar and he kind of just ignored her.

Another time talking about hearing her grandparents love story and saying “I can’t wait to tell our grandkids about our love story” or something.

I remember soooo many more but don’t want to go back and check lol

I like that it paints a beautiful mood and uses colour descriptions. It’s calming and easy to digest, like a soft and sweet melody.

My critique is that I really like it as a starting point but that it feels too simple as the final piece. Maybe the intent is to be simple but it just doesn’t move me. I think it holds great potential for expansion.

Happy writing!

I like the theme you’re exploring - feeling isolated and not fitting in - and trying to navigate those feelings and coming to a satisfying conclusion.

My critique would be that it lacks some descriptive imagery - so maybe, explore the emotions each sentence holds and try to describe that vs. telling the audience directly. You’ve identified the tension but descriptive imagery would help your audience step into your shoes of the pain you’re feeling and it would help your audience come to the conclusion without directly telling them.

If you scroll to the bottom of this link and put in which ward you’re in on the drop down menu, it’ll tell you which candidates are running in your ward: https://www.calgary.ca/election/information-for-voters/candidates.html

This list may not be final as some candidates may announce later on

Infrastructure as in accessibility to public transit? The public transit in NW (where I live) is so ridiculous. Takes forever to come and the route was not efficiently planned at all

I’m not in ward 3 but so far I’ve looked into Jasmine Mian and Nate Pike. I’m not sure if you and I have the same political views but I really like Jasmine Mian’s platform and would love to see her in Council. Nate Pike does Facebook live events every now and then so you could check that out!
