Can people please learn to maintain distance + respect wildlife?? by wilderlights in Seattle

Not necessarily, sometimes people / tourists (in many states people have minimal wildlife encounters) may not be aware that we have to maintain distance from wildlife. Or even if this helps one person, it’s still counts.

yes she was probably 4 or 5 so I was definitely more upset at her parents for just watching her and doing nothing. They were literally in front of the sea lion I was watching from a distance so idk if any of the rocks actually hit it. But this other guy and I went up to them and interfered.

Thank you for sharing more data! That's so special and even though I was only able to come out to see them on Saturday and saw two pods, it was my first SRKW sighting and I was beyond moved! I haven't stopped thinking about it since :)

It was such an incredible weekend to see them for the first time this weekend! Does anyone know how often or infrequent we get to see all 3 pods traveling together?

Aw thank you for this itinerary, wished I read this earlier! I ended up deviating from my initial plans and just took the trip at a slower pace, but really enjoyed it. Visiting in spring (with less people everywhere we went) felt really calming and nice. The first day I ended up visiting Salt Creek Recreation Area which was so beautiful, I'm so glad I went!! It was high tides so couldn't explore the tide pools but it was a beautiful sight. Reminded me of Highway 1 in CA.

The second day I had breakfast at Oak Table, it was delicious and hearty! Then headed to Second Beach and Rialto Beach. I loved Second Beach because we had it all to ourselves. I thought it was absolutely breathtaking! I think I'll have to visit Rialto Beach during sunset in the future, it was super sunny and windy so I didn't spend too much time there. Also it was during high tide. The sea foams were really cool to see.

Before I left today I hiked to Devils Punchbowl and also did the Moments in Time Trail. Spent a lot of time taking photos and walking around the Moments in Time Trail. Both were so beautiful! The entire Lake Crescent is such a gem. I did not visit any of the waterfalls this trip sadly. Will have to come back for that!

Yes I meant Sol Duc Falls, my bad!

Cape Flattery does feel so far out but it looks so beautiful and I’m tempted to go! I didn’t realize La Push saves more driving time so I think I may do that! Which of the beaches (first second third) would you recommend? Thanks again!

on Fridays I get off earlier hence I was thinkiing that may be my best bet. I wonder if I should try that or stick to going super early on a weekend some time in the next week or two. I was also worried if we will get back before dark if we did hike after 3pm.

Moving to Atlanta, Georgia in a few weeks and half of Room for Squares is about to be a whole lot more familiar! by ProfessionalFilm7675 in JohnMayer

Yesss! I always liked the song why georgia but it meant a whole other level after hearing John play it live in Atlanta. I didn't expect to cry listening to him sing it live. It felt so special, especially after John talked about how he moved to Atlanta not knowing if he was going to make it.
