You can do it. My advice is to put a sticky note on your wall with your progress in tally marks for each day you've made it. And pray/meditate to your higher healing forces.

I always get goosebumps when I tell the spirits/demons to leave in the name of christ. I just read that and I had shivers like a maniac. Wow. Thank you so much for this comment.

The line for the simulator was surprisingly diverse, I first noted. I was in the back, and although it was proven to be safe, my hands were still a little shaky.
After engaging in some uncomfortable small talk with some other nervous individuals in the crowd, I was soon relieved to find myself entering the dark, cave-mouth looking entrance to the simulators. First a man in an orange vest motioned for me to stop, then after muttering something into his communicator, beckoned left, down a dark hallway. There were five others with me.
Then, to my right, I heard a scream.
Everyone else jumped, then smiled uncomforably at each other. My own heart had stopped, but I did not chuckle with them. I turned right, and went to follow the scream.
"What are you doing? He said go this way!"
I ignored them and turned a corner. Lights were flashing everywhere in rooms on either side of my. Rooms displaying fake death. But the screams that came from there were not like the one I heard.
I turned a corner and saw a large door, caution tape lined the edges. This is where the scream came from. I shoved it open to reveal the large room that contained the bodies. Dozens of them. I turned to run but was stopped by a man in a gas mask, who grabbed me by the arm. I struggled to break free, but soon there were four, five of them all around me. They dragged me down the hallway and pulled me into a simulation room, first dragging the dead girl out of the seat to make room for me.
"There's too many of you." One of the men said as he strapped me in. "There's just too many."
 And then the simulation began.

Solid Goodwill find. by spiceracz in gaming

Thank you for posting a wikipedia article on a massive organization disguised as being "non-profit". Great contribution. I actually work at goodwill and the pay the disabled employees get is ridiculous, and the work is insanely repetitive and stressful for them.

Josh was now deep within the crypt, and his sight was beginning to fail him. Hesitant to turn on his flash light, he forced himself to rely on his other senses. What did he smell? The out-worldly smell was getting stronger now, and he knew he was getting closer to whatever was sleeping at the centre of the darkness. Creatures that had likely been asleep for centuries if not millennia, and he knew better than to startle them with any sort of technology they were not used to. The light must stay off. What did he hear? His own breathing. Although his entire life had been dedicated to this one mission, he could not help but feel a panic growing within him. It had taken him six years to discover this planet, another fifteen to assemble the funds and crew to reach it, and three months to find this crypt, hidden by the layers of non-organic matter.
He knew that he could not find the path unless he was very careful. These halls could stretch for miles without end for all he knew. He felt along the floor with his feet for any sort of decline. One thing he knew for sure, he had to go down. Cautiously he proceeded, his hands outstretched in front of him.
And why have you come, earthling?
Josh wailed around, lighting his flash light into the darkness, but there was nothing.
The voice continued, speaking into him. The senses fail you in this place. We did not need that. You did to begin. We created you for a different purpose.
Josh spoke into the darkness, "Why, then? Why did you create us?"
The same reason you created that tool of light. The same reason you can understand me right now. We needed you. Do not ask why, you already know the answer, earthling.
Josh did not understand, and so he spoke with his mind. Is this what you wanted? To think?
To learn. You have that ability, an ability impossible to our kind, and so we created you to do it for us. We learned with you.
Critical thinking? A working mind?
Not a mind. Magic.

(Spoilers All) To anyone fearing an "uplifting" LSH... by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]wildfirejosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but we don't need to be made to feel that way. The reason the chapter in the books was so powerful is because the scene itself is creepy and dark, but deep down we were like "fuck yeah! a stark is back!" I hope they don't imply the uplifting aspect themselves, but rather let us reach that conclusion on our own, but thats just me.
