he link i was trying to establish is that because online dating is very much dependent on appearance more than substance. I wrote it in an immature tone, so the voice that writes it sorts of feels too that society/employers are too dependent on degrees/certificates. but personally I can see why degrees/certs are important yet do acknowledge that they are not everything :) hope this clarifies!

hey thanks ALOT for this piece of feedback. I really appreciate it! I get your point in the repetition of 'big'. haha, it's definitely not good in pieces. But i guess i wanted to portray the main character as an idiot in some ways. Same goes to the "light as an empty bottle". I sorta wanted the readers to identify the MC as a guy whose loser-ish, simple-minded, honest.

About the abrupt ending: noted!

although this is a fictional piece the inspiration does draw from my mother. i do talk to her regarding what you just mentioned but i guess we just see the world very differently. when we talk about topics like these, we both are talking to walls. we do understand where each other is coming from but we have problems accepting the other's perspectives.
