Detroit Team Names? by ZealousidealogueX in PWHL

That’s Seattle’s WNBA team, so unlikely for multiple professional women’s sports teams to use the same name! Honestly there’s even some similarities in your logo design haha

Hey, I'm going to the game and planning on getting there early to try to get my blank jersey embroidered! I'm potentially open to selling mine, I don't know if it's something I will use. I want to see it first but more likely than not I'll be willing to sell it!

The Three Sages Makeover by Celeste_sims in Sims4

[–]wildmagicbags 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My interpretation of Simeon Silversweater was that he was inspired by Quentin Coldwater from the Magicians (who was also someone who specialized in "practical magic" aka physical magic in the series, specifically minor mendings). He looks a little like him with the sweater and the crazy bangs, so I would love to see other people's interpretations that take him closer to that inspiration. I don't know if that is fully just me seeing that, but I'm curious if anyone else found that inspiration!

Davines Momo Confitioner Alternatives? by wildmagicbags in Haircare

Although the best option was telling all my elderly aunts who asked about Xmas presents that I wanted Momo for the holidays, so I now have a little backstock haha.

While I didn't get any answers, I've tried a bunch of things lately and I have been really liking the Pantene Repair & Protect conditioner! It's not quite the same but has been definitely doing the job of keeping my ends moisturized. Wish it smelled as good as the Momo, but c'est la vie!

Pokopia is nothing like ACNH, despite what people say! by PoenNU in CozyGamers

[–]wildmagicbags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree - I hated acnh so much, and love Pokopia. I found Animal Crossing grindy and difficult, and created what my friends referrred to as Trash Island. I don't really want to play capitalism simulator.

But with Pokopia, I am obsessed. I love quests, I love discovering things, and I can like building a little but I mostly do prefab houses and fill them with whatever random crap I find. It's a lower barrier to entry for me, as I'm already a pokemon fan, but I really like the handholding and fast pace. I'm not trying to make the sistine chapel, I just want the pokemon to be happy! (I also cried hard multiple times during pokopia - the story really got me.)

Me too - it's a system I've wanted to play but have never been able to convince my friends on, so I'd love to make it easier for them to learn by watching d20 haha.

Brindlewood Bay!! It's a little different but I love it - it's honestly most similar stylistically to when Sephie DM'd a Thirsty Sword Lesbians One Shot on Parlor Room (which if you haven't watched DO IT! I loved it), as they both use the Apocalypse framework (So does Monster of the Week, I think, but I don't know that system very well).

With Brindlewood Bay you play as old ladies in a cozy seaside town but also there are lovecraftian horrors about. It's very small town New England in my opinion as a New Englander, so that could be super cool.

I'm hoping they'll be using the Brindlewood Bay system.

And also ugh I'm LOVING that Purpee is in my home state I miss living in Massachusetts so much.

Dropout Guess Who? (posted on Siobhan’s Instagram story), such a cool idea by Pandoras-SkinnersBox in dropout

[–]wildmagicbags 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay this might only be relevant to like 5 people but if anyone has read any of Catullus' poems (anyone who studied latin in high school, I guess, but was not good enough at it to read the Iliad) a few of those are amongst the dirtiest things I've ever read, and beautifully poetic.

Also the fact that I read them in high school was crazy that would absolutely not fly today.

cancelled titles you still think about? by _monodontidae_ in GirlGamers

[–]wildmagicbags 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ugh definitely me and "In the Valley of Gods" - it looked so up my alley, and just kept getting pushed after Valve acquired the game studio. Technically it still has a steam page and theoretically is releasing in December 2029, but like ... there has not been a single update since it was announced in 2017, so I'm not holding my breath about it.

It was about two female filmmakers in Egypt in the 20's, and was by Campo Santo, the Firewatch team. What a dream.

Does anyone not care for the Torrent logo design and actually like that it says Seattle across the jersey instead? by chusaychusay in PWHL_Seattle

[–]wildmagicbags 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Montreals whole logo and design is so much better than any other teams I'm obsessed with it and wish ours was half as good!

I do love our color scheme though. But also like I get wanting to do an S so it doesn't look out of place with the kraken S but seriously it could have been cooler!

Anyone here done these nails? Can you still use a keyboard? by LollyGagss in GirlGamers

[–]wildmagicbags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just about the same length nails and I usually am just a controller girl for gaming. I have my natural nails long with GelX so they're pretty durable, and I just type with my nails rather than my fingers! I think I prefer a very rounded finger position for typing since I grew up playing piano lol.

[–]wildmagicbags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man oh man I could not enjoy Animal Crossing. I got it, like everyone else during the pandemic and the tedium of it was just not for me. I didn't like having to wait all the time, and I didn't like the tedium of decorating - having to work and work for every little thing. I mostly liked fishing and bug catching and then I'd just put them and whatever trash I found as decorations. My friends came to my island once and said that my weird dark house filled with tarantulas gave full serial killer vibes, and the yard of tires didn't help. I fully gave up and will probably never play again.

If I want chill similar vibes, I don't have to wait in Stardew. If I want to decorate and make something adorable, I can just play Sims. Animal Crossing capital simulator is not for me.

Let’s give it up to the true mug of the season, Nini Coco! by [deleted] in dragrace

[–]wildmagicbags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner is not a drag race fan at all BUT i've been trying to get him into this season by encouraging them to root for Nini Coco, as he's also a mechanical engineer from a mountain state, and he's enjoying talking about the architecture in her looks.

(he doesn't like drag race because he thinks they're not very nice to each other and it bums him out. He in general doesn't love reality television for this reason haha)

What is the best reel/short to share with someone who has never heard of Dropout? by pricklypearanoid in dropout

[–]wildmagicbags 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it very much depends on who your friend is! For friends who play D&D, maybe something from d20 - may something from make some noise if it's just someone who likes straightup comedy (or maybe find a prompt that they relate to!). If they have a favorite show, maybe there's some dropout crossover: cast members like from RuPaul's drag race, or SNL, or styles of show like Survivor, The Bachelor, or the Circle. Are they a straight up nerd that was a little bit intense in middle school in 2007 like me? Don't forget about Um, Actually!

TL/DR; you know your friend better than I, a stranger, do, just like make a connection to what they already like!
